While visiting Skagway, someone highly recommended us trying spruce tip beer. Then specifically we were told that Klondike Brewing Co. was the best.

We were blown away by the care and service which this Head Brewer showed us introducing us to their Whipsaw Spruce Ale. He explained the beer brewing process as well as the specific additions used in the Spruce tips process.

Spruce tips even contain vitamin C 😮!

Wonderful experience tasting this newly found beer - and I’m not even a beer drinker!!

Would strongly recommend and would absolutely return.

Get off the boat and look no further! Excellent brews and even better people. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I can’t find the words to describe how amazing this establishment is. We met with the brewer and general manager on a combo e-bike tour (which was also absolutely awesome- look them up Klondike Electric Bicycles on fifth Ave) and spent a wonderful hour connecting with amazing people and EXCELLENT beer. Better than Juneau hands down!

My partner and I had our absolute best brewery experience here. The staff were all wonderful and very attentive even with the thousands of cruise visitors entering the town. And of course the beers were delicious.

The young woman tending the bar was friendly and great to talk to. Great atmosphere and music. And most of all the beer was the best compared to other breweries I’ve been to during this Alaskan cruise trip.

Came in with a group of 7. The place was mostly empty (so far) and we were told to try to get our group to occupy less space. 1 or 2 table tops instead of 3. I jokingly said I could send most of them back to the ship to diffuse the situation but she wasn't having it.
I then said we would work on it and move around if more people came in then asked about ordering 2 flights with one overlapping beer to maybe be one that isn't included.
I was told "we don't do that" and stared at for my response to all this and decided to tell me group that at we would be leaving instead.

It was the quickest 45$ for maybe 20 minutes of just being hospitable she could have made. I didn't get her name but I do hope this isn't how visitors are usually treated here. 💔🍺⚓

If you want a tasty brew without all the glitzy glam and fuss (it's a good thing I promise) this is the place. Walked in and the staff were so so friendly right off the bat. They knew they were a bit busy because of so many ships arriving that day and were very up front and apologetic. We weren't in a rush so we happily grabbed a barrel and a menu out on the patio. Someone was over to us almost immediately to take our order and apologized again as it may be a minute before our flights came out. We said no worries and chatted away. Less than five minutes later our flights arrived. Definitely not slow service at all. As for our flight, it was absolutely fantastic. The Original Lager was our favorite but the Devil's Punchbowl was a close second. I was bummed I couldn't bring any back on the ship lol. All-in-all a great visit. I really can't say enough about how friendly the staff was either. Highly recommended if you're in Skagway for a visit 😊

Stopped in to try a Spruce Tip Beer. Loved it. The atmosphere was less than authentic. The feel was more of a tourist trap and souvenir shop. Food options were very limited. Beer was great though!

Nice little brewery in town with a decent selection of brews. We did a flight and really enjoyed everything we tried, though my favorite was the spruce brew which is made from local trees. There isn’t a ton of seating but they do have several tables and have merchandise for sale.
