I had one of the most stressful experiences with this company. If you inherit a leased tank when you buy a house my advice is to quietly purchase your own tank, never give these people your credit card number( if they already have it call your bank and shut it down) only when your tank is installed and js tank is removed call for them to pick up their tank. Be there when they come for pick up and take pictures and documentation for proof.
I was in escrow with a leased tank that was empty. I needed a little propane for the assessment and inspection so I had to open an account. They wouldn’t schedule a fill and vague about when they would. When they scheduled a day they wanted me to be there so the guy could check for leaks. Ok, I asked for a time, couldn’t give me a time or a window like every other company does. They wanted me to wait all day at a house I didn’t own yet! lol
Obviously I’m too busy to do that so pushed for cancellation. They came to pick up the tank the following sat ( neighbors saw) and then called me in hysterics because they lost the tank. The manager went from 0 to 100 saying “ I’m responsible, blah blah.” Got a call a few minutes later saying they located the tank.
I am sorry for getting into a shouting match and feel really bad about that, but was really considering litigation if they didn’t find their tank. No one should be forced to go through this much drama with a service provider.

Bought a new home and the water heater pilot light wouldn’t come on . They came right out and turned it on , no charge - they were there in 20 minutes ! The house had been vacant a long time so there was air in the gas line , they fixed it like champions !

Suburban propane gives discounts to subdivision and nails everyone who isn't in a contract area. They are 3 x's more expensive. Horrible service and prices. Do not honor their quotes even for 3 days. Never do business with them again. I switched co.

I have had a great experience with this company. JS West actually answered with a live person (not the norm for today) certainly refreshing. Everyone I've dealt with, from customer service, delivery drivers and service technicians have been very pleasant, helpful and professional. If you are looking for a propane provider JS West is the way to go.

We have been with JS West Propane for 5 years and I am so happy with the service. The drivers are very pleasant to deal with as well as the ladies in the office they are very very helpful. The last couple of winters have been crazy with the snow and they are doing their best to get everyone as fast as they can. So this winter be patient and kind to the staff.

I have had js west for almost 3 years and through this time they have been very attentive to helping with any questions or concerns that I have and also helping to make speedy deliveries whenever I am in need of a fill. Thank you to Amber who works there especially because she has always been very kind anytime I talk to her. I have delt with some really bad gas companies in the past, but js west exceeds my expectations and for that I am greatful!

Despite the myriad of negative reviews my wife and I have had nothing but positive experiences from being a customer with JSWest over the last 5 years. Consistent fill ups on a timely basis with their Auto fill service. Reasonable rates given the fluctuation of prices in our area. Good customer support and timely responses from the staff in the office when needed. Recently a large December snow storm left our area with hundreds of customers without propane due to extreme travel difficulties. This put us in an emergency position of no heat to our house with zero propane over the holiday period. John the manager made sure to take care of us despite having to send an employee (Josh) out to make an extra service call after normal hours. Extremely helpful in a much needed scenario. Would recommend this company to anyone in our local area.
