My husband and I have eaten at John’s fish market since the early 2000’s. It’s the best lightly breaded fresh fried cod we’ve ever had! 4 HUGH pieces of fish, look at the pile of fresh fries and slaw. One plate is plenty for both of us. The location is beautiful. Lots of shops and right next to the Marina. It was a lovely day. Try it, you’ll love it!! ?

Didn’t try the food just came here for a couple of beers. They don’t have any on tap so it’s essentially a fish market and they will serve you fresh fish, which I’m sure is very good.
I did fall in love with the trestles beer, which is from a local San Clemente brewery!

What an absolutely miserable dining experience I had at this place! A 45-minute wait in a half empty restaurant to get two pieces of fish, coleslaw and a beer with clam chowder. Three other tables were served well after our arrival and when I told the server to cancel the order it finally came out with no coleslaw, no soup and a load of french fries that I never ordered! I even had to get up and asked to get my beer because it never came to the table! I paid the $27 Bill and left having never even sampled the food. There are a half dozen other places in this area where you can get good service and decent food. This place needs to fold their business and go home!!!

Great food, and the service was really good! The fish was fresh and crispy, and the clam chowder was the best!! Cute date spot; not too pricey.

Jon’s is a MUST stop for our family ! We have been enjoying this restaurant for over 15+years . The owners and staff are always wonderful. Anything your order is made fresh and comes out hot and perfect !!! You can’t go wrong with any menu items !! We are huge fans of the smoked fish melt sandwich, oh my gosh so yummy ! The claim strips and fish and chips are always a go to !!! Can’t go wrong ! We order fresh fish and the glazed salmon and it’s the best on bagels ! Anything you pick you can’t go wrong ! Enjoy lunch and hop on a whale watching tour and take some goodies from Jon’s home after the boat ride !!!! My favorite place. Enjoy !

Me and my family went to go get some food and drove to this place expecting it was good. The food that we got was the cheese quesadillas, salmon, sea bass, and shrimp. I had a good expectation of the cheese quesadillas but it ended up being gross only with a tortilla, cheese, and followed with another tortilla on it cooked. It was so gross because where was the chicken? For the salmon and the sea bass is another story. They both were frozen and tasted old but were microwave overcooked. The shrimp basically wasn’t even shrimp because of how much layers of bread were on it. This place didn’t even have silver ware which was a struggle to eat our food. The food was gross. For the waiter, he ignored us half of the time and didn’t give us straws until we had to actually ask for it. The place was freezing and the heaters weren’t on. We had to pay a big amount for this DISGUSTING food. Not recommended and never going again.

This is a family favorite! We always love the fish and chips!!! I ordered the local catch of the day - White Sea Bass, blackened with a little bit of garlic. Not too heavily seasoned, served flaky and toasty! The calamari was tasty, but a bit tough, the breading was too thick and crunchy today. Very friendly servers. Nice covered patio with solid new furniture and plenty of propane outdoor warming towers. We'll be back, again and again. So happy they are up and running for both carry out and sit down.
