👍 Reviews of Inca Chicken

Inca Chicken is truly a neighborhood gem. I have fond memories of this restaurant, especially after it tragically burned down when I was a child. When it reopened years later, it was a moment of pure joy for the community. The food is exceptional, with the chicken being particularly outstanding. I highly recommend pairing it with their signature green sauce, which is a must-try. Every dish they serve is flavorful, and I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had. The owners are incredibly friendly, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. Without a doubt, I would rate Inca Chicken a 10/10. It’s an establishment that deserves respect, and I can easily see it becoming a successful franchise. The unique flavors they offer are unmatched, making it a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Please open one in New Jersey!

I hate to do this but simply because of principle…. The customer service i experienced on two separate occasions at this establishment while trying to get food for my grandma in the hospital have been both terrible, unprofessional and stressful. After todays incident 04/09/25, I personally will never eat from here again which is unfortunate because the food is good. Hopefully the manager teachers his employees about proper customer service and the manners in which they speak to people.

As I’m slowly making my rounds over the 5 boroughs to find the best roasted chicken in the city, another spot that keeps coming up is Inca Chicken over in Bushwick.

The family roots go back to North Korea, and the current owner's dad ended up in South America and just fell in love with the chicken in Peru. I FEEL bro. What a crazy back story, but I can’t get too emotionally attached to these things as I’m just here to try the chicken.

I got the half chicken and two sides, and at $14.50, this is beyond reasonably priced. They FULLY LOAD you up with sides. Nothing I love like a big portion size.

Options for sides range from mac n cheese to mashed potatoes to lo-mein, but I just went with the white rice with vegetables and sweet plantains.

To be honest, this chicken was solid. It was really good, but if I had to nit pick, it was just a little dry for my taste. But also keep in mind, I ate here 1 time and could have just caught them on a bad day or got a bad batch of chicken. It happens to the best of them.

Their green sauce was amazing and took it to another level, but like any good roasted chicken connoisseur, I have to judge the chicken pre-sauce. I’m slapping an 8 out of 10 on it.

Sides were banging though, definitely worth the trip if you are in the area. I need to get back to try the pernil and ribs, as those looked INSANE.

Inca Chicken serves oven-roasted Peruvian chicken with tender & flavorful meat. Paired with their verde sauce. Simple, satisfying, and packed with rich flavor! Tasty with Inca cola and their delicious empanada!

Chicken was good compared to other places but the ribs were so much better. It could have been much more tender but flavor wise, it was heaven in my mouth.
