We recently had a wedding in the area and Hudson Valley Dessert Company was the perfect choice for our wedding cake and dessert. They provided an excellent level of service at the tasting, conducting delivery, and throughout the process. We wanted to do a unique cake and the bakers were thrilled with the opportunity to flex their creativity and skills. They worked closely with our venue to ensure the logistics of the cake would work and we completely trusted that everything would go well. Our guests were so impressed by the cake and the other desserts. We had cannolis, pecan squares, and gluten free brownies. Everything was delicious. We found that we got really great value and highly recommend them for others looking to order their wedding cake from the area.

One of my favorite places to have breakfast on a Saturday morning is The Hudson Valley Dessert Co. Connie and everyone at the bakery always put love into everything they make! This morning I got an egg and Asiago sandwich with avocado and homemade sausage that they make there! It was (and always is,) delicious! I got a cup of hazelnut hot chocolate to have with it!

My wife and I visited a friend in Saugerties and wanted to pick up something to bring to dinner. We got a pistachio cardamom cake and some other things, and coffees. All the desserts were amazing! The cake was outstanding in particular! I wish we had a place like this where we live. It seems all homemade and the icings seemed made there rather than mass produced.

Only thing was it seemed like maybe the cashier was new and it felt hard to order the things we did. It wasn’t as many things as I’d think others might order at a bakery. And I wish they had a coffee menu because it was confusing trying to order. They advertise mochas and espresso drinks, but I asked if they’d make anything iced and that seemed confusing. So just got regular iced coffee.

Hudson Valley Dessert Co. always makes the best treats! This is a beautiful gender reveal cake that was made for us to announce our pregnancy and the baby’s gender. You can always taste the love in every bite here!

We ordered Hazelnut, White and Classic Hot Chocolate which we absolutely loved it and my personal favourite was Hazelnut. We also order Pecan and Chocolate Chips cookie and Chocolate Dipped Mandel Brot and Brot was just too good. Must try if you are in town. Also the atmosphere and staff was amazing.

We received a gift of 7 packs of biscotti, sent directly from the shop. I know the sender wanted to send us biscotti that we could enjoy! (We love good biscotti!) Unfortunately, these are the worst biscotti we have ever eaten. READ BELOW FOR OUR ASSESSEMENT OF EACH:

- Orange Chocolate is the best of the 4 kinds we received because the consistency is most like a biscotti. I also like the orange flavor, but I don't taste chocolate at all.
- Cranberry Walnut was pretty bland and a little too soft to be considered a biscotti.
- Chocolate Chip Almond had the right consistency, but was ruined because of the added cinnamon sugar on top. If not for the sugar, they probably would be okay.
- Chocolate Almond were way too hard and nearly flavorless. These are hard enough to break a tooth on. (Unfortunately, we received 4 packs of these).

One other note. I didn't see expiration or "baked on" dates. So, I don't know how, or if, they are managing product in that way.

I cannot recommend purchasing biscotti from this company. Perhaps their other desserts are exceptional but their biscotti are terrible.

We will likely throw out all 7 packages.

The staff was nice.

But when it came to the actual food.

Ordered an egg sandwich with a bunch of extras: sausage + cheese + croissant. It took forever for the food to show up and resulted in this sad mess of a sandwich.

They got everything wrong. And it wasn’t even tasty.

I do not recommend this place.

I had an amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff's behavior was exceptional. Their friendliness and attentiveness made the visit even more enjoyable.
