Horticulture Building, New York State Fairgrounds
★★★★★

The Horticulture Building at the New York State Fairgrounds is a must-visit spot during the Fair! It’s filled with stunning displays of plants, flowers, and agricultural exhibits that showcase the beauty and creativity of local growers. The attention to detail in the displays is impressive, and it’s a great place to learn more about gardening, farming, and sustainability.

The building also features local vendors offering fresh produce, honey, and other unique products, which add to the experience. It’s a relaxing and enjoyable space, offering a nice break from the busier parts of the Fairgrounds.

Highly recommend stopping by if you’re visiting the Fair—there’s always something beautiful and interesting to see!

Always love the antique show , found a few nice pieces at very reasonable prices how ever the parking was a bit much kinda along walk and seemed even longer when carrying two or three heavy bags full of goodies but then again parking in Syracuse is always a problem no matter what the event is

So far I have never had to wait for a $1.00 baked potato. Portions are hearty. Venders, what little there are,are very friendly, and talkative. All sharing major concerns of profit loss. The rest of the building is occupied by State run entities willing to welcome visitors. I spent a considerable amount of time talking to a few about tree/plant management issues I am experiencing in the yard. Other than that the building is largely vacant with areas blocked off by curtend stanschions. The Tram drop off behind the building near the rail road tracks is a great asset when entering the Fair from the Handycapped Area between gates 10 and 11. Access to other Trams that transport visitors around the Fair is provided. A short walk from the stop to the front of the building provides close access to the entertainment area Chevy Court.
