We stopped for Sunday brunch and had an wonderful experience. The staff sent us the menu ahead of time and were great with communication. The food was all locally sourced, super fresh and homemade! The ingredients were organic and no vegetable/canola oil used! The portion sizes were perfect. The coffee was delicious with some local honey.
Brunch menu:
Quiche wild boar or native mushroom
Comes with homemade sourdough bread, a locally produced jam, a bowl of fresh local organic fruit, coffee or tea.
Hand pies
Bison and cabbage or cabbage, onion, and mushroom. Comes with a sourdough biscuit and a side salad of local greens and veggies.
The staff provided a tour of the Beard and Lady Inn, apothecary and provided details on the history of the incredible building from the 1800s. We bought some locally made calendula salve.
This was a memorable and unique experience and we would highly recommend it!

Nena and Tim's dishes blew my mind!!! The meals were not only creative and healthy but also so, so freaking delicious. Nena and Tim craft their farm- and forage-to-table meals with love and care, and it shows. They are also some of the friendliest people I've ever met, and they took the time to go table-to-table to chat and talk about about their dishes. My boyfriend and I were totally full by the time we were done with both meals, and after we left I pined after their pine-needle tea for weeks (seriously). If I could, I would make a trip there every month to try each of their monthly menu items. I can't recommend these humans and their restaurant enough!!! ❤️?

All around fantastic experience from beginning to end! My husband and I found the restaurant last minute on our way to our weekend stay at a nearby yurt and absolutely had a phenomenal time! From the beautiful old building with all the historic charm down to every detail of our meal, I wouldn't change a thing! We really like how the owners have created a sustainable restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed eating all local food! We had so many things we'd never had before like sumac seasoning and mulberries. They also only take reservations for dinner because they only want to prepare the proper amount of food with as little waste as possible. I know we will be back to visit soon to try the paw paw fruit!

My best friend and I stayed at the Lady and Bears In and chose this quaint restaurant for our dinner and aging for breakfast the next day. The owner/operators Nena and Tim were the sweetest and cutest couple. The made the whe meal an experience, told us about the native foods they forged that day for our meals and prepared it themselves! Although each course was delicious, the berry tart appetizers and sourdough bread were to die for!! Well worth it for fresh and delicious food!

We found this place out of complete luck and it exceeded any kind of expectations we could’ve ever asked for! The salad. The salad was just “chef kiss”. We went there on August 7th and I’m still raving about it. My partner had the mushroom quiche and she absolutely loved it! Everything was just so freshly made. Our tastebuds were in heaven! It was a nice break from camp life and a very short trip from Devil’s den.

This is a wonderful small restaurant in a charming inn sets up the perfect rustic setting to eat carefully crafted locally sourced foods. The friendly owners introduced each dish and sat down with us afterwards to chat the night away! If you're in either Fort Smith or NWA please consider visiting! If you're staying at the inn they provide breakfast as well!

The meal was AMAZING!! Beautifully presented, delicious, and full of native foraged superfoods! Definitely will be coming to dinners at least once a month to experience each month’s unique menu!
