What an awesome little gem this place is!! Beautiful homestead from 1868, preserved and upkept with love. $5 per person or $10 for a family to visit. We very much enjoyed the tour, special thanks to our lovely tourguide Kathy! We also really enjoyed petting the adorable resident donkey Dilbert ♥️ Definitely worth the stop!!!

Wonderful learning experience, Tracy was great help and an asset to this historic ranch. I would like more info for the self guided tour at each building, but, there was quite a bit of information available in the museum area. My grandson had fun and loved the land and the animals. A peaceful retreat from the busy Salida area. Clean and super nice restrooms available.

Great place to see and experience a piece of history! For locals & if you have children, they have wonderful summer programs for them to experience something different! We brought a couple of our alpaca over to let the kids feed them a few treats and Peggy showed them how to make a felted ball using alpaca fleece! Lots of smiles on the children's faces.
