This barn is truly a hidden gem! I can't say enough positive things about my experience at this beautiful location. I had my two horses in the "pasture" option with plenty of room for my horses to move around. They also offer stalls with runs with the option of turn out. They have everything you need: outdoor arena, outdoor round pen, indoor round pen, wash racks (with hot water), tack rooms, and turn outs. The turn out/large pasture space was one of my favorite aspects of Hidden Gem Farms. The property has a couple large fields where you can turn your horse out on your own or hire the barn staff to help you do so. Hay was great quality with option to feed up to 3x a day (there was a lovely raised section with lots of mats in the large paddock for a clean eating area). There was also an option to pay for fly masks, fly spray and blanketing when needed. The staff also took such great care -- management was always willingly available, the ranch hand handled the property and horses wonderfully, and the main trainer is a Doll (not to mention incredibly educated and skilled). I am moving my horses to be closer to work and home, however I highly recommend this location!

Hidden Gem is a beautiful location. No doubt. I boarded my horse there for almost 2 years. She had a large pasture. A big turnout area. I would warn those looking for consistent upkeep and care to be aware that they are not equipped for that. I think if you board your horse in a stall in the barn you are relatively ok. However the horses with outside paddocks had a lot of mud and fly and maintenance issues that were always promising to be resolved but never were. There are many cows nearby and they bring in cows to take down the grass in the turnout. It all leads to the most flies I've ever seen anywhere. Extreme. They do not haul the manure off property so that just makes it worse. Yet, no fly control. It's up to boarders to provide. In the winter the paddocks and turnout get dangerously muddy.. I can't tell you how many times I came to find my horse's feed thrown on top of the muddiest areas so she had to eat standing in 6-10 inches of mud. There is no drainage and no plan in place to change the situation. It really is a beautiful location but just be aware and prepared that there is no full time management. When things go wrong they are slow to change or fix anything. The owners have full time jobs which make it hard to run a barn. If changes are made and they bring on a full time manager it would be nice.
