For the past 4 years starting spring time I come faithfully to buy steak and meats from this store cause the price is great and they prep their meals with this seasoning my entire family and friends love. I recommend this spot for anyone and you can call ahead to place an order to have it ready for pick up. Try it and you won't ever regret it

Excellent customer service, the meat is so tender and delicious. Great place to get meat with good taste at the last minute, you will always do great in your barbecues, because their ham, pork chops, chicken and their "entraña" are so good!! Your guests will be really happy.

I rarely complain about any stores cause if I'm not satisfied I just don't go back. However, Herbert's Fine Meats as I remembered isn't the same as these new owners. I was very acquainted with the old owners and their employees. Although I have not shopped their in about 5 yrs. I notice the difference in the quality of the meats and the quantity. I was 12 yrs old the 1st time I shopped at Herbert's and I am now 63. They are not the same and should not disgrace Herbert's name and his business. These are different owners and they should be ashamed of the way their meats look. I will never waste my time spending my money on bad quality of meats. Your meat does look nor appears to look anything like the original Herbert's Fine Meats. Please change your name and oh your bacon isn't slab bacon. I just couldn't take it I had to let the new owners know. You may try and fool us, but God sees everything you do.

At 1 point this used to be the best meat market in Hempstead that was the 1990's when the owner an his family knew all if mist of the customers by name, they were always happy to see you come in an shop and people were please with there food. Now being that times change an owners ; well an prices of coarse it's rough to budget. Herbert's now is out of control and the meats aren't what it seems once you get it home. They won't honor the sale of bad meat ir want to give refunds it's the customers fault or you left it out over night. That was 5 minutes of getting home.

Their price is TOO HIGH. If you can, instead go to FOOD BAZZAR in Westbury. Herberts sell goat meat for $9.00 or more per pound. While Food Bazzar in Westbury price their goat meat at $4.99 per lbs.

I visited this store on thursday 6/25/20. I wasn't impressed, frankly was very disappointed. They didn't have everything that I ordered. They didnt bother to tell me until the end. I was very disappointed, don't think I will go back. They should have taken some money off, but they didn't, they made me substitute things. That was not what I drove in the traffic for...if you want everything that you wanted, this isn't the meat store to go to..

I learned a lot! They have many old time, southern style smoked meats. They also sell seasonings/rubs/marinades for meat produce, beer and other grocery items to make your dinner a success
