Just had the most pleasant conversation with Harry’s Berries at the Oxnard Corporate Office. Was able to obtain the information I needed so I could purchase some of the strawberry preserves for a birthday present for my daughter-in-law. Wishing this wonderful family farm a berry fruitful season.

In 2022 I took a chance on $15 strawberries, thinking, "These had better be the best strawberries I've ever had." And they were! Perfectly ripe, red, and delicious. But this year I've had two packages on two different weeks from Pavilions, and while they still tasted good, the package had gone past ripe, with several berries too soft and brown. The company is blowing it. Getting the product to market in good shape isn't a detail of the business; it's the whole point. Value for money isn't there this year.

I bought my first box of Gaviotas at the Santa Barbara Farmers Market on Cota this season today. Unfortunately, just like last year, they look dark red and gorgeous, but are tasteless. Harry’s why have you sacrificed the size and sublime, wild-strawberry flavor of your original Gaviota and Seascape strawberries for the current impostors?

I have been buying Harry’s Berries for years!
Today, we bought a “package” of strawberries. Very large berries for Harry’s, in a big plastic box, just like you see in a grocery store,; 14$, but I didn’t mind the price because they are so awesome…not anymore? They were the normal HBs dark red color, BUT, with grocery store strawberry flavor and sweetness. Wait, what? Maybe it’s early in the season, sadly not the quality I recall. Strangely, but no lines of folks to purchase the berries. The ole’ triple open baskets or the small to medium size dark red berries they used to sell are no longer present. Something’s changed and not for the better. Please bring back the real HBs! I will keep watching for them

In the past I purchased Harry’s Berries from the Wilson Park Farmers Market because they were the best, this past Tuesday I purchased two containers and they were large beautiful looking berries but tasteless and not very sweet. I was so disappointed, what happened?

Paying $14.00 I thought the strawberries would be fresh and good. Not so, tasted like they were two -3 days old. Very disappointed. I’ll buy elsewhere.
