Me and my family went yesterday and everything was amazing from the time we came in until we left. The lumpia was delicious, the pancit was perfect and the cheesecake with ube jam was something I’ve never experienced before!! They even made puto for us, something I haven’t had since I was a child. It was a nostalgic visit ,brought back a lot of childhood memories with the food, reminded me of my mothers cooking!!! Great job Hapág!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Wow - a truly wonderful surprise in Highland! My brother and I stopped by for dinner recently and were blown away by how good this place is. We ordered a phenomenal sizzling fish and pork over rice, both were delicious.

The owner is also wonderful and welcoming - it feels like having dinner with family. Whether you live nearby or are just passing through the area, Hapag is really worth stopping by for a special and delicious meal. Apparently they'll also do a special platter style shared dinner if you have a party larger than 5 - hopefully we'll get to try that someday!

Lumpia (egg roll), lechon kawali (deep fried pork belly), bok choy with eggplant braised in a sesame sauce and turon (plantain and jackfruit wrapped egg roll wrapper and deep fried). Really good Filipino "home cooking". Highly recommend. The staff is really friendly too.

Hapág Bistro is an absolute gem! The food is incredibly flavorful. The fried pork belly was crispy and tender with garlic rice and eggs, super yum! The service was just as amazing as the food. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. They also have karaoke and BYOB. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious, authentic Filipino food. Can’t wait to come back!

It is great to have unique restaurants that are around to try. This place was recommended and the food was beyond great! Their combo of rice and egg noodles dish was delicious, fresh ingredients and can feed easily 2 people. All their portions are definitely easy enough to share with other. The fried pork sizzling platter was crispy and had such great flavor. Some of their main dishes don't come with rice- highly recommend getting their garlic rice to pair with any protein dish. Their desserts can also be shared and are not too sweet and carry hints if unique citrus or Filipino flavors. Will definitely be back to try other dishes!

Great food and service. It was nice spending some time in this restaurant while enjoying a meal and waiting out a fall rain. The food was tasty, plentiful and homey. I'd gladly go back again to enjoy a new delight.

Amazing Filipino food! I'm not a local and I would totally drive up here to get authentic, flavorful Filipino food!

We came here as a big group so we had the opportunity to try all different types of dishes and they were ALL delicious and full of flavor! We ordered the chicken adobo and pork adobo, lechon, pancit canton, palabok, chicken BBQ, tocino, garlic fried rice, and mango float.

The owner, Cecilia, is super friendly and accommodating as she's able to answer any questions we had and helped us pre-order the food even before we got to the restaurant. Hapag has such an inviting ambiance and the decor reminds me of being at home in the Philippines. I loved the simple touches like the tropical-like napkins.

I live in NYC where there are a lot of Filipino restaurants and I can say this is definitely one of the best I've had! Come up to Highland and you will surely want to come back!

This was my first time eating at a Philippine restaurant and everything was great.
Hapag Bistro is a cute little restaurant, with great service. We were greeted warmly by the staff and seated quickly upon our arrival.
Our party of four shared a Lumpia appetizer (7 pieces). They were light and delicious.
For our main dishes we ordered Pork Sisig, Lechon Kawali, Longsilog, and Dinugu-an to share. We also got 2 extra sides of rice but I have to say the garlic rice that came with the Longsilog was definitely my favorite.
The portions were large enough for all of us to try a healthy portion of each dish and the ingredients were all fresh.
For dessert we had Turon with Jackfruit and ice cream.
You definitely have to try the mango juice. It’s a super delicious canned nectar. We also tried Calamansi juice, it tastes citrusy and goes well with the dishes we had.
Five stars all around. Great food. Great vibes. Above average service. Fair pricing.
