This is a Gem of a place to stop for Exceptional home made sandwiches and snacks. The meat is fresh cooked and sliced here. I got a Rueben sandwich which was the best i ever had up and down the east coast. The owner is so friendly, kind and personable. Other patrons that live locally are so friendly and all the locals seem to know each other. I enjoyed the visit and people so much i did not want to get back on the road. They have a very wide selection of sodas as well. I had to try 2 if the 8 brands of root beer which were refreshing.

We were coming home from the beach heading past Opp and we’re looking for a place to eat lunch and walk the dogs. Hangry Harrison’s was one of the few places on the map, so we decided to stop there. When you see the yellow sign, TURN THEN. It’s a small building with an open sign and the nicest people you could ever meet! In addition to wonderful food, they are a small country store, selling jellies, honey, candles, and many other things supplied by farms in the area. I had a huge Mediterranean salad, my husband had a Reuben that he LOVED, and my daughter had a hot dog. They have all kinds of sandwiches, soups, and salads. We sat outside with our dogs to eat and Kate came out and talked with us. When you drive up and don’t see cars, go ahead and stop!! It was wonderful! Thank you so much, Kate and Scott, for your kindness and hospitality as we headed back to Tuscaloosa!!

Great restaurant and country store worth going out of your way when traveling through Alabama. The antipasto is the best I’ve ever had and the breakfast biscuits are amazing.

Also has a large, eclectic selection of glass bottle sodas not found in most stores.

Great little hidden gem. The owners were so welcoming and kind. The food was delicious and well portioned. Worth going a bit out of your way to eat there on the way to or from the beach. We will be back!

Stopped here passing through town as we didn't want typical fast food. Such a good find. Friendliest couple runs it, yummy jellies for the kids to choose from for the pbj sandwiches, fresh made warm sandwiches. Grabbed our family some farm eggs and salsa as well for the week. Will try to stop back if we ever drive this route again!
