First off, I am astounded at the level of dismissiveness showed to clients/customers(me). I walked in, and it felt like I was a complete burden. The lady behind the counter was not pleasant and asked if I needed something. I told her I was there to buy/look at a Ferris mower. She called a salesman to the front and he walked outside with me to "sell" a mower to me. I asked some extremely open-ended questions in hopes that he would divulge on specs and typical selling points specific to the mower/brand. You know...how sales people sell things? I would get one word or very short answers and then silence until I would ask another open ended question... I specifically asked what type of rebates/discounts Ferris is offering to Military. His answer was, "It's whatever they are right now. Im not sure." Maybe I am too hopeful to think his answer might be... "I'm not sure. LET ME FIND THAT OUT FOR YOU!" The worst part is.. I was looking at the same mower that he, personally owned! Talk about an EASY way to sell something. Thats all I found out, was that he had the same mower. Not reasons why he loved it or how it compares to others that are in the same category... I'm just at a loss for words. Weirdest, most cringey visit to a dealership in my life.

Anyway, I have bought cars, boats, equipment from many different dealers.... and I have never felt like I was a burden to any of them. That changed at Haney Equipment. These people are not in the customer service business.

This was going to be my second quote for a mower. I don't even care if it comes back $1,000 cheaper. I'm going to go with my first guy's quote.

UPDATE(2 months later):

I bought the mower from Brett at ‘Bluewater Outdoor Equipment, LLC’ in Killen, AL. Best guy to do business with and delivered right to my driveway. Call Brett if you’re in the market for equipment! For the love of god, NOT Haney.

Once you buy something from these people that's pretty much it they want nothing else to do with you unless you're interested in buying something else or letting their mechanics work on your equipment I have called them three times about problems with this new tractor I bought they were no help whatsoever wouldn't even want to answer the questions I asked he was not only very rude but actually very hateful my company is going to buy two more tractors and it won't be from these people I can assure you the problems I had before on this Massey Ferguson was was solved over the phone by a John Deere dealer who was very friendly and understanding about my problem and knew of this company's problems with customers

Worst equipment dealer in north Alabama.

As soon as they sell you equipment, all help is gone. Their service department is worthless and doesn’t fix problems. They patch things together for them to break again over and over, taking your money for repairs.

The lady that always answers the phone is ALWAYS rude no matter what. ALWAYS.

I sold my Massey and I’ll never buy another or deal with Haney.

Got a package deal on a new tractor from them. Drove down from NY and brought it home. When I got home I noticed a manufacturers defect on the trailer that bent the axle. After a few phone calls and some pictures sent, they said they would make it right. They sent some from AL to NY the next day with a new trailer, free of charge! You don’t see that kind of customer service these days… Evan was a pleasure to deal with. Very smooth transaction! Well worth the drive!!!

We have dealt with this company from the very beginning. We even dealt with the company that Haney bought the business from. We had a family member who worked for them from the beginning. We have Always been treated with respect and made to feel like family for almost 60 years until today. We were not recognized to even be there for several minutes by the receptionist nor a sales or parts person. We kept waiting for someone, anyone to even acknowledge that we were even there. I finally spoke to the receptionist and she spoke and then walked out of the room to not return. We waited a good while longer and finally a sales person entered the room and said hello. My husband then told him why we were there and even though he had farmed all his life and worked on farm equipment since he was a young man he tried to explain what was wrong with a piece of our equipment. He was treated as though he knew nothing and was disrespected when trying to explain what was needed. Since Lewis Haney has passed away, apparently the whole business's customer service has passed away with him. I dare say from a customer of almost 60 years we will never do business with Haney Equipment again. It feels as if we are losing a family member twice. Once when Lewis passed and again today ?

Worst service department on the face of the planet. They’ve steered me away from ever using Massey Ferguson again. 7 times to fix the same issue, paying delivery and pickup every single time for a warranty fix that they didn’t fix.

Bad loader control valve since the first week with the new tractor. Six times they took it to “fix” it. They refused to replace it every time, raking in money from Massey Ferguson corporate for their warranty work to “repair” it. One time, the tractor was dropped off STILL LEAKING WHERE THEY LEFT IT.

7th time, they replaced it, after this issue became more widespread and the part became backordered. So I was waiting two months for the part so I could finally get it fixed. If they did it right the first
time and ordered before everyone found out it was Chinese made garbage, I wouldn’t have lost months of use on my brand new tractor while it sat on their lot.

Bunch of A-holes. Steer clear. Buy a Kubota or JD instead.

I’ve already had bad hydraulic cylinders on the front loader at 100hrs. Had it repaired out of pocket locally. I’d rather pay anyone else than Haney to fix this. They don’t deserve another cent from me.

I sold my pile of garbage tractor and will be buying a Kubota.
