I used to believe this was one of the best breweries in Arizona. After my most recent visit I’ve decided it’s not. It’s THE best brewery in Arizona. They’ve always presented one of the best Stouts anywhere. They’ve always been adventurous in a solid good way, brewing solid based beers. But lately they’re pushing it up to a whole other level with excellent Belgian style cherry brews that are not just excellent beer but a statement about the art of brewing. In state known mostly for IPA and lagers they’re venturing into some of the most daring and challenging terrain in brewing. They tend to lead with sours, which while excellent aren’t really my thing. But their stouts and now Dubbel Krieck as well (in addition to basic lagers and IPA) takes the whole thing to another level and provides a wonderful facet under-represented in Arizona very successfully. The facility and ambience remain, as they’ve always been, charmingly low key, unpretentious and relaxing. I was hesitant to post this because they’re probably one of the ‘best kept secrets’ in the Valley and I’d hate crowds to interfere with my special brewery, but folks who really like beer and know something about it owe it to themselves to stop by and raise a pint or two here. Don’t expect Roosevelt here though. This is Grand and it’s character and charm are more fundamental and authentic. Roosevelt has its own charms but people who really like beer and a more real and authentic street experience should absolutely love this place. I can’t recommend Grand Avenue brewery too highly and I’ve sampled from Hungary to the Czech Republic to Holland and all over Belgium not to mention every brewery I could get to in Arizona, Florida and Colorado. When it comes down to the beer Grand Avenue Brewery can play with the big boys. Check it out!

It’s been a minute, like a whole pandemic since the last visit. They have improved a lot! On my first visit I experienced 1 or 2 that were good, the others had promise and I was hopeful. Now I think this brewery is set to become a part of downtown, like you don’t go downtown without stopping in here. The beer is good, the service is funny, the vibe is brewery. Love that they have found their stride!

First time and I drove right past this place, as it is easy to miss. But inside it’s a great traditional brewery vibe. The dudes behind the counter are super knowledgeable and patient. Went with the cream ale (Happy Jack) and it was excellent. I would have tried a flight, but I didn’t see too many others that sounded good to me. And most of their beers were 6% or higher in alcohol so if you like strong beer, this is the place for you. Would come back.

Unbelievable little place. Locals were nice. Got to hear a funny story. The owner was super friendly, and January, the bartender, was so helpful and nice.
Had the wague cheeseburger. Best burger i've ever had my life. Tried the 4 cheese and Mac, delicious.
The peach crisp was out of this world with some very delicious vanilla bean ice cream.
My favorite beer was the beeline honey. I am not much of a beer drinker, but this beer was very light and smooth.
It's worth the drive from Tucson to come here even if it's just for lunch. We'll definitely be back.

I love everything about this brewery, it's cute, the staff is wonderful, they love doggies, their food is delicious and they have a very cool spot on Grand Ave. The only bad thing really about this place is that it's not open more ❣️ so I can have a cup of coffee there during the weekdays. Fantastic brewery! The burgers are the best I've ever had, and the beer selection is amazing. Can't wait to go back again. Close to downtown and the airport. Five stars all the way!

Their smoked baked potato with pulled pork is delish 🤤 Service was great as always. Love coming here. They have great selection of beers that has something for everyone. The sour beer with ginger was really good.
