I ADORE this honey - it's so good I almost hate to put it in something as pedestrian as oatmeal (though I love it there too) - but I especially love to smear it on toast with butter to really savor the taste. This isn't your supermarket run-of-the-mill stuff - it tastes unique and makes for a great gift as well. My mom is the latest convert! And of course the fact that it's local/BK made only makes it extra hip 🙂 Support your local small businesses - especially this one!

Just picked up a few jars from a fresh batch. This honey has an entirely different flavor and texture from the store-bought wildflower honey I used to buy. You have to try it to understand.

Plus, these jars are cute and make great gifts (the backstory is an added bonus!)

This honey is amazing, every batch is slightly different and special in its own way! The most recent 2020 honey I got my hands on was light, smooth in texture and delicious! It went great as a sweetener for coffee or yogurt, as the main ingredient in honey-based sauces and paired with cheeses. Highly recommend if you love and appreciate excellent quality unfiltered honey 🙂 Also, the packaging is vintage and cute - makes for a great gift. You can really tell there is lots of love and hard work put into every single jar!

As an avid honey consumer, Gowanus is by far the best honey I've tried in NYC. The sweetness and light-bodied texture makes for a fabulous combination with coffee or... pretty much anything. Having witnessed its 100% artisanal process in Brooklyn, I highly recommend this brand for anyone looking for the rawest, highest quality honey in town.
