Be careful when you buy meat, always check what they give you. I bought 6 lbs of meat. The one on top always looks beautiful but you don’t know what is under. Here are some pictures to show that they don’t care about their customers. Wondering if they would feed this to their children. Falta de respeto para sus clientes. Que lastima siempre la Raza jodiendo la Raza.

Northgate Gonzalez Market is about half the size of a giant grocery chain store but it has a lot of the charm and appeal that makes it culturally Mexican. Their carniceria (aka Butcher shop) offers an assortment of meats and pre made/seasoned meats for cooking. You also have the option to select hot foods that have been prepared for breakfast (served 6am-11am, while supplies last), lunch and dinner. Seriously, you could buy a whole family sized meal for dinner which can feed 3, 6, 15, and 30 something people.

Walking around the store and exploring many of their options, I've found there's a little of everything. I came with my parents and aunts to buy stuff for my grandma's birthday and we were able to get everything we needed (and a few extra stuff). They have a little baked goods section to the far right corner near the registers. Near the entrance there's a place to buy tamales (pork, chicken, and I forgot the third). They even have some juices, too!

Some of their product, however, are comparable to products at other stores. For example, I've found that their baby food section is actually a little more pricey than the ones I've found at Target. But if you're pressed for time and don't worry too much about cost, you could buy what you need here. Parking can be a little nightmare since the parking lot isn't very big. Thankfully we were able to find a spot as soon as we drove into the Placentia Plaza.

Second time here. Great selection with the added benefit of the take out experience. I went to the desert area first. Also picked up poke , quacamole, tamales and enchiladas. This place is dangerous to shop. Way too much tempting food. Wow!!

The tamales are great here, but if you're White most of the women who work here will ignore you. I don't see the workers at Stater Brothers ignoring Hispanics when they shop there.

Mexican market with good deals on meat and produce. It's a bit small but has most of what you need there. They have numerous different flavor tamales for $2 a pop there.

I dislike this Northgate location. This place is so small and the halls are narrow that it can be difficult to move around with a cart and you also have to be careful of the items expiration date! I have bought drinks from there that are expired or are a day from being expired. Always check your items to make sure they are good. If you can avoid this location and go to a different one.

The food was okay at best. The waiter we got was a bit older and had to be reminded to bring drinks, napkins, random people that look like they did not belong. The area needs better management supervision to make sure musicians are not smoking next to you and your family which I had to remind one of the staff to ask the musicians to not smoke in the outside which was two tables from us.

Nice neighborhood store, that always makes me feel welcomed, cashiers and staff always engage customers (including me) in conversation that makes you laugh so when you exit you leave with a smile. Meat & Deli departments are always helpful on specials too. I always find what I need, if I don't crew will let me know when to check back after new shipments have arrived. Love this store.
