Very well maintained an authentic dishes and meats. I have not been in the store in a long time and I went today for their classic Italian meat pie. I heard amazing things about it and I wanted to try it for myself. I also went around and picked up some other things that I saw and everything really looked amazing. I would certainly recommend this establishment for your catering and deli needs. They offer a wide variety of sauces, meats, and homemade goods.

Not a good first experience. I ordered a half tray of mini (small) rice balls. I was told there would be about 40 for $35. When I picked up, they were the medium size and less than 35 rice balls. When I questioned, the guy went back in and added more rice balls to a small tray to equal 35 and charged me $40. I told him I ordered mini ones and I was supposed to get 40 for $35. His answer was he didn't know why they made the larger ones. I should have left them and walked out. Lesson learned, first and last time in this place.

The worse. Very ignorant Italians. I went into the store and the man behind the counter ignored me like I wasn't there. I was the only one in line, nobody else was there and he kept his back to me and he ignored me. He knew I was there because he turned to look at me and purposely ignored me. I said something to him and he pretended not to hear me. When I said something to the girl at the register, I said it very low not to draw any attention, but a customer standing behind me who should have minded her own business butt in and got involved. Like a crazy person she actually started screaming at me in the middle of the store because I made them aware that the man behind the meat counter ignored me like I wasn't there. She came out of left field. She most likely loves to get involved with other peoples business and is a PHYSCO. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I don't know if it was the owner or a manager that came out, but he had to calm her down. She was quite a spectacle. My head was spinning because her mouth was like someone that was born among a family of trash and was never taught etiquette or manners. All I could do was stand there in amazement and just stare at her. Just the after thought of why someone would go to that level of anger in the middle of a store because I asked for assistance at the register is beyond my comprehension. It was like WOW this person is really nuts. I wouldn't give her the satisfaction of saying a thing to her especially since it was none of her business in the first place. In the end I'm writing this because the manager or owner who came out on the floor had to calm her down and escort her out. What made me uncomfortable is he condoned her actions and completely disregarded me as a customer. Not even to come back inside and have the class to approach me and ask me what happened, and if I was ok or could he help me with what I went in there for. I have been going to Freddies for a very long time to order lunches, and I never ever had a problem until now. Because the owner/manager didn't have any consideration for me I will no longer ever go into the store again. All I wanted was to be served. That's all. I don't know maybe he got off on her making a spectacle of herself. Very ignorant people. If you want quality meats go to Fanelli's Eltingville Meats on Richmond Ave. You should have a much better experience then going to Freddies. Freddies is actually a low end store that tries to look high end. Anyway, that's my story. Arrivederci Freddies.

Place is the best for salads & pork cuts.
I just don't like their beef cuts. They rarely make antipasto salad to. That is why they don't get 5 Stars.
Good selection of cheeses, olives, home made everything, hero's to go, & much more.
Staff is great as well.
