My Black experience at Food bazaar in Hempstead was very uncomfortable for me and my grandmother first, we walk in security is gawking and observing us, as we are criminals it was one security guy that made us feel very uncomfortable, and he had dreads and he kept following me and my grandmother around the store so we get to the register then my grandmother forgets her card at home so I’ll run back out to get her card and when I return guy was standing by her looking at her and making her feel very uncomfortable pacing back-and-forth I will never buy nothing in this establishment ever again. PS anyone diversity can be a criminal not just blacks

Low prices. Uncommon brands. Good fresh fruit and Veggies; however watermelons were huge but at 99 cents a lb, one cost over $21.00. Did not buy!

Came to the register to pay with my Amex Gold card (no limit) it was declined. I was told I need to pay with cash because the system was down. As I’m waiting for the ATM I look over at another register and see a customer paying with card. So I leave the ATM come back to pay at the register with my Chase card and it works. Not only could they have said something about it. But they were just talking and laughing while no one even bagged my items but bagged the previous customer’s items because they speak the same language. Everyone should know the business they work in and provide a great customer experience. They failed to provide that, will never shop here again.

I bought a bunch of grapes (green) yesterday. Washed them and had to immediately return them. They smelled and tasted like smoke. Was able to get my money back. I suggested that they check the rest that were on display. Not sure if they did.

This store is ABSOLUTELY horrible. We live in Hempstead not Hispanicstead. This community is culturally diverse until you get into food bazaar. So I went and ordered a cake, I wrote what I wanted on the cake. Ha! What a joke. I went straight to the manager. The lady with the glasses. I tried to get her attention for 15 minute while she just chatted with a co worker as if I wasn't standing there. All she said was awww so sorry. Wow really? Stop and shop would NEVER. Now for the rest of the store. Again they have a lot of international products and they have rows, rows and isles full of Spanish products. I asked for bread and nobody could tell me where it was. The prices are ridiculously high I guess to cover the cost of all the security they have walking around in an empty store. There's more lights on the outside than the inside. If they weren't finished with repairs they shouldn't have opened. The paint fumes are overwhelming and the particles from the open ceiling by the deli section is concerning for me. Big plastic tarps over the gaping ceiling holes where I'm supposed to have my cheese cut? Lastly if the fish department is in the back of the store. Why does the entire store smell bad? No need to come on with a generic reply about management because we all know all yall care about is a dollar. If you cared about the customers things in these comments would've been rectified and they haven't been so I don't need a general reply. I need the situations in the comments rectified for future shoppers. Thanks

Although the produce and meat section are better than what Stop and Shop offered, and you can get some international specialty items here, the prices are ridiculously high in this store. C-Town used to be the higher priced in the area. Now it's this store. The rewards program here is a joke. There is no more lotto station or self check-out option. The security guards who stalk people as they shop aren't a good look, and the cashiers aren't the friendliest. Unless I'm really in a pinch, I drive to the Stop & Shop in West Hempstead or Westbury or go to C-Town off Franklin instead.

Their prices are going to push people to the nearby Aldi's and other grocery stores if they don't make much needed adjustments.

Nice store. Good prices. Keep an eye on the cashier. They overcharge you. Then, when you go, take a Pic of the item and show them. They bypass the machine and still ring up the wrong price. When you catch them robbing you, all of a sudden, they don't speak English. If you go pay attention to cashier.

What's better than stop n shop? Prices are still high. You no longer have the option to do self checkout. I shopped there today and the young lady didn't give me a receipt but I realized once I got to my car. I came back in and I had to wait a long time just to get a copy of a receipt printed. I've worked as a cashier in a supermarket before and printing a copy of a receipt didn't require such difficulty
