I original found this shop online looking for butchers in my area and I’m glad I did. I’ve been there several times and they are my go to shop for stocking my freezer. Each time I am greeted by Lexi who is a very nice and helpful young lady. My wife and I love everything we have tried so far including the pork and beef brats, the ground chuck, ground round, beef roast, and I can’t forget the bacon!!! The beef roast honestly is the best I’ve ever tasted, tender and very flavorful, the bacon (I flat pan bake at 400 for 25 minutes) and is so delicious it makes me crave for more. After buying these types of meat products at the grocery store for so long I forgot what real beef is supposed to taste like. I would highly recommend trying their products you will be delighted.

First off, I walked in and saw no masks. I knew in that moment this would be a fine meat establishment. One gentleman recommended the brats as well as recipes to go with it. The owner himself shook my hand and genuinely thanked me for my business. If you’re looking for a family-owned small-town butcher shop with quality product, this is your place. Highly recommend. Will visit every time I have the opportunity.

OUTSTANDING. WE TRAVEL 30mi from Imperial Beach to get the best to come here. You can taste the difference. Filhart beef goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. The owner and his wife greeted us when entering the business. This is what small business is about and when it comes to beef this is the flagship of beef in southern California.

Came here for the first time after trying his beef at a social event. Made the trek up to Poway to buy some of my own. The atmosphere is awesome, felt like family walking in the door! Greg is one hell of a guy and his beef is exquisite. If you want a little something special to make that Covid date night special, try FILHART BEEF it will not disappoint!
