Just drove up on it. The food was so fresh I had to taste it there. Loved my entire order and ate it all. I spent $23 for my goodies. It's just enough for me. I will be going back.

The sweetest people anywhere! I love the heirloom tomatoes in mid to late summer best, but I buy other things sometimes. Tree fruits and melons mostly, sometimes Avocado or mangoes. They will throw in a free little bag of loose grapes for the kids when I have them with me, or just ask if I could use a lime since it looks like I'm making salsa, so they'll just toss that in too, and always courteous, with a smile

They are only open seasonally, closed Nov-April, keep that in mind if you plan to visit. Cute little farmers market. Good selection of fruits and vegetables. Their peaches, mangos and grapes are delicious! Very friendly staff. Definitely will return.

Was excited to go here for fresh fruit, my husband and I haven't had good luck with fruit from the grocery store lately. As soon as we walk up we notice that half of the fruit is purchased from the grocery store and the prices are jacked up, the bananas and pineapples have Dole stickers. One young man who worked there was polite and tried to be helpful, the other workers were older ladies who were extremely rude to my husband and me. When we asked about the difference between the green pluot and purple pluot the lady scoffed and said "they are different varieties." When we were trying to pick out a basket of strawberries, my husband picked a basket up and the lady grabbed it from him and held it up herself and when we asked to see the other baskets she acted as if we were inconveniencing her. When I was looking at peaches she sat right in front of me and watched me the entire time, making me feel super uncomfortable. They ended up charging $36.00 for a seeded watermelon, 2 peaches, basket of red raspberries (I ended up throwing away all of them as soon as I got home because they were mushy), a basket of strawberries (which I also had to toss half of them because they were slimy) and 1 mango.

Farmer's Wife Farmers Market is a neighborhood landmark! It's a fruit and vegetable stand with a huge selection of produce grown on the property or locally. Prices are that of a small business; a little more than a grocery store but for a much fresher, organic product! Today I picked up fresh bell peppers! The biggest, crisp green bell peppers I've seen! $1.25 each! And, they taste so much better than the ones from the grocery store!!! They had a variety of fresh tomatoes, onions, okra, corn, eggplant, carrots, celery, berries, peaches, nectarines, pistachios, melons, etc. Fresh watermelons were $8 each! Strawberries are from Watsonville!!! They also carry locally made jams and local honey.

Can't go wrong getting fresh fruit and vegetables here.

Just spent $29.20 and here's what I got for my money. Oh already ate 4 plums, 2 nectarines and basket of blackberries. Great deal for my money! Highly recommend Farmers Wives
