Rude, inattentive workers. Planned on doing a tour. Arrived at the farm &.the only woman working in the "store" area didn't even look up when we walked in. She didn't say a word to us as we walked around. The first time she said a word was after we walked into an area that apparently was off limits to the public (no signs prohibiting the public were posted) and rudely said "you can't be in here." We left without doing the tour. No thanks.

I am VERY disappointed with the VeggieRx program. Initially they provided local produce that you probably wouldn't buy yourself. This may have been due to cost or it may be because it was a new product to you. It was this program that had my family loving soups with kale in them and eating squash. It's supposed to provide healthy food to people with dietary related illnesses. The current distribution has been common fruit like apples and oranges or vegetables like celery and carrots. I find this to be disingenuous as these are commonplace items, easily accessible and low cost. The food I got was mainly from out of state. One product was from Chile!!!

A farm in the midst of the city catches the eye. It's such a lovely place.
Beautiful produce. I was there during a cooking demonstration and it smelled delicious. The community service is the best part.

A limited selection of items to buy. I don't know a lot about this facility but if I've heard this is a very good place to start working in agriculture If you live in the city. I would recommend working/training here.

Veggies and fruits are fresh and mostly organic. They accept WIC and vouchers. They also sell some of the staples you need for the cupboard. Milk, eggs, cheese, lunch meats and some frozen items. Plant lovers need to check it out. There is always something new to try out so I am always pleasantly surprised. Worth the time.
