My parents have had the worst experience with Richmond. DON’T buy with them! The construction supervisor Bobby has done nothing but give false promises. My parents closed on their home on Friday July 5th because they were promised the home would be completely finished and it is STILL not. Their realtor has made many attempts to reach out to Richmond with zero response. So I will now post all the pictures of their home and write reviews everywhere I can so hopefully either this will be made right or I can stop people from buying from them. Why it is ok with them to close on a home like this is beyond me. I would be so embarrassed to work for them as a sales person. And the financing with Richmond is a whole other story! A nightmare to deal with. They ask for the same documents over and over and over. And ask for a ridiculous amount of items. Never again!

Run, don't walk away from Richmond. A contractor is only as good as their timelines and Richmond couldn't give me one they were willing to put in writing. Once they have your earnest money they stop responding to requests for updates on your build. Additionally, their in house mortgage company is a nightmare to deal with.

UPDATE: After having to wait over a week to get updates on construction progress using my contact, she didn't have any updates. After finally being put in contact with the construction manager he informed me their original close date on January 20th was likely to slide 3-4 MONTHS. Finally requested a contract termination which took 5 days since they could not get a manager to sign off for 3 business days, and of course after being confronted with their negligence they kept the entirety of the earnest money.

Do not buy from them!

The worst buyer experience ever.

Nothing was really explained during the entire process.

So far the quality of the build seems cheap!!
