food was alwaya pretty good here…selection and service are good, the place is clean. but noticed the prices have gone up quite a bit, even just from a year ago (esp for the combo dishes).

Our go-to place for their Chile Verde and refried beans! Service is always efficient and the place is clean. Menu is on the pricier side but it's worth every dollar.

Placed order for two tacos with extra crispy shells. They were not crispy. Chicken was not seasoned and beef was skimpy. Will not return . I expect to get what I paid for. Order taker need to listen to customer. Even though I live in Poway, I will drive to Hillcrest. Authentic Mexican food is much better.

The food was very bad, the carne asada fries looked like plastic, the potatoes on the tacos were very hard and we didn't wait long to eat, we were 3 minutes away from the restaurant, very bad food, I do not recommend takeout.

This place is the real deal. If you want REAL Mexican food, look no further. Menu is priced just right, with all your favorites. The salsa bar is always full of fresh salsa, etc. Service is quick and packaged excellent if you are doing take out. Eating in, there is plenty of seating inside, no outside available. Located in an easy to access and park location in the strip mall. Highly Recommend!

I love the Carnitas Tacos, Chille Relleno, the Burgers, the Fish Taco and the Chips with Guacamole! Their Chunky Guacamole is fantastic. The Carne Asada Tacos with cilantro were delicious too, and so is the Chicken Taco. I switch them all to flour tortillas. I am constantly blown away by how good it all is!

As much as I love the tacos, since their meat is so good, I finally tried the burgers. Wow! It's one of my favorite burgers ever. And the fries are delicious too.

The staff is really wonderful, the prices are great and the meat is excellent. I am surprised I manage to eat anywhere else. 😉

Came in early for a breakfast burrito since I was working nearby. It was simple but had good flavor. They offer a salsa bar which was nice since you can try before making a choice. You can also get fresh chiles serranos to accompany your meal. I washed it down with an agua de piña (pineapple water which was pretty good). There was more than enough seating, which is great for peak hours. I may try again if in the area.

This place has some shady business practices. Ordered a Cali burrito- which was advertised for $14.25 (already astronomical for being in poway) with sales tax + credit card fee it shouldve come out to 15.74 but i somehow ended up paying 15.82. Whatever, but then my buddy got charged 15.81 for the exact same thing. How tf does that even make sense. I’m not trippin ab the penny, but rather the principle. Theyre just making up prices. SMH $16 for a burrito in pooway. make that make sense.
