Dropseed is amazing! Anthony has exactly what you need for your native plant projects. Excellent selection of plants, shrubs and trees, including some unusual and hard to find items - and all native! He makes it easy to shop, with signage that provides plenty of detail about preferred conditions so you can be confident in your choices. I visited 4/10/25 and everything was in excellent shape and ready to plant. Highly recommended!

When I lived in Brooklyn I had an irrational fear of birds and couldn’t keep a plant alive if my life depended on it. When I moved to Long Island during the pandemic I suddenly found myself interested in gardening and bird watching in my backyard. I came across Anthony and Dropseed on Facebook and before I knew it I was determined to undo all our landscaping and only plant natives. Anthony came and did an assessment of our yard and recommended appropriate plants. Slowly we’ve been adding natives to the backyard and now that we redid the front of our house we’re planting a fully native garden in front of the porch. Anthony helped me and my girls pick out a variety of shrubs and flowering plants that will support our local wildlife but also maintain a look that fits in with the neighborhood. I’m so excited to see how it all comes to life!
