Booked this hotel because the hotel in Jersey City we'd 'booked' hadn't actually been booked so we needed a place to crash for 2 nights. Easy booking and fairly easy to find, about 10 mins from the 9/11 memorial. Big tall building with 43 levels. Lobby on floor 2 where reception was very smiley and helpful. Small grab and go area with crisps, chocolate, microwave items etc. Our room was on floor 33 and the elevator wait wasn't too bad at any point. Maybe just the time of year as lots of reviews state otherwise. The room was small but perfectly functional. Decent bed, fridge, air con, USB ports on both sides and a view of the top of One World. There was also a coffee machine, a safe and a couple of chairs. The bathroom was clean and everything worked. The one bug downside was the paper thin walls as you could hear everything, and I mean everything from the rooms either side. The locale is decent, close to the Staten Island Ferry, Wall Street, the charging bull and World Trade Centre. Lots of eateries and bars around and a Duane Reade at the end of the block for cheaper drinks and snacks. I'm sure there'll be better hotels around the area but for the price paid I can't really fault it.

I was traveling for work and stayed for 1 week. The location is great, close to the subway, and walking distance to many attractions. You enter the hotel on the ground floor and take the elevator up to the second floor for check-in or directly to your room if you check in through the app. The only complaint I had was the wait time to get an elevator, and they are pretty small. If people have luggage, only a few people fit in at a time. I timed how long it took in the morning to get the elevator from the 18th floor and it was an average of 5 minutes for the week, which I felt was long as you awkwardly wait outside someone's room because the hallway is so small. The room itself was a decent size for NYC. It was clean and had a desk and small fridge.

Convenient location, does its job as a hotel. Convenient location to subways such as 1 and 456. Close to battery park, close to my favorite liberty bagel place. Bigger space than I expected. The biggest issue is elevator too easy to get crowded and wait time is long.

We stayed here for a week on our vacation. The hotel is in a convenient area with plenty to see, lots of restaurants, and a generally safe atmosphere even after dark. Several subway stations are nearby, making it easy to explore the city. A hidden gem is the free National Museum of the American Indian just around the corner - definitely worth a visit!

Our room was clean, and the hotel offers a good price-quality ratio. The entrance felt bit shady, and first impression of the room was somewhat old-fashioned, but everything worked well! Some reviews mentioned elevator queues, which is true, but you don’t necessarily use it that often, and it even became a bit of a social moment every now and then. A mini market corner in the lobby offers snacks, drinks, and other essentials.

Overall, a solid choice for location and value!

Mixed bag of a hotel. The location is excellent, short walk to battery park and several subway stations, great food in the area. It's not as busy as midtown. Staff is really friendly/helpful and allowed me to check in 1.5 hours early. Significant drawbacks are the elevators and rooms. Room was pretty cramped and it was hard to lay out all my items for a 2 night stay. Stayed with a friend and there was only chair, so only one of us could sit down when brought food back to the hotel. Fridge is tiny and can only fit a few small drinks. Shower was inconsistent and would not always have hot water. On my second night the A/C was not working well and I had difficulty sleeping because the room was so hot. The elevators, as others have mentioned here, are pretty slow. But I usually waited 1-4 minutes for the elevators and never 10+ minutes as others have mentioned. I don't regret staying here and the price was reasonable for Manhattan but I would probably look elsewhere on the next visit.

This is my favorite hotel in NYC! It’s close to the 4/5 and R/W trains, so you can easily get anywhere in the city. The rooms are small; however, that’s pretty standard across the city and their prices are unbeatable. Their service is amazing as well, especially the luggage storage guys. One of them even carried my large suitcase down the stairs for me! I appreciate everything they’ve done for me, and I will continue to stay here in the future!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. They actually cleaned a few things we had planned on keeping, but it seemed like an honest mistake. The only issue was the elevators. One of the 3 was out of service while we were there, and it led to much longer wait times. The location is good. It's very close to public transport, multiple subways, and the Staten Island Ferry. If I stayed again, I would do a better job of putting souvenir cups and stickers away.

Outstanding service from every staff member we interacted with. Excellent Location for our travel needs. Very poor elevators. I’ve seen other complaints about the shower but ours was excellent! Perfect pressure and temperature. We loved our room but could’ve used another charging station. We will most likely return on future trips.
