Call ahead on Friday, then pick up your delicious lunch order on Saturday! Great reason to take a trip to the hamlet of Highland to enjoy its shops, bars, restaurants, local natural sights, & hiking trails! Pictured here is an order of beef over rice, perfectly seasoned in a mildly spicy experience. The salad & rice cleanse the palate in a healthful & refreshing way. Only complaint is the overly generous offering of tahini (sesame sauce) in a non-leak-resistant container; had I traveled a longer distance before enjoying my lunch, the sauce probably would've leaked all over the contents of the bag.

Recently moved over to highland for work so had to find some good places, boss brought me the BEST chopped cheese hoagie I’ve ever had, Calli the gentleman behind the counter was very courteous/friendly and by far the best easygoing deli/ mini grocery store I’ve EVER been to. Btw they actually had veal!! Most places do it with ground beef, wat a difference, I’ll deff be becoming a regular here no doubt about it, YOU HAVE TO TRY!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered a chopped cheese after driving by this place like 100 times and cannot go back without reviewing…. This is hands down the best chopped cheese north of NYC. It’s not greasy, the flavor in the seasoning is top notch and the service was quick and easy. Please if you have been wondering how this place is it is as good as what the others have said

The food they make is amazing 😍. I have never had anything I didn't like!! Renae and I get breakfast sandwiches there as well as lunch sandwiches. We just love everything, the pickles 😍!!! You need to pre -order pickles. Ask them what they can make for you. So good!! Will be getting more sandwiches and wraps!!

This place is such a great asset to the Hamlet. Clean, friendly, great food especially the breakfast sandwiches that we order all the time. and tons of stuff if you need it in a hurry. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I go all the time and will continue to..

Best veal & cheese hero’s in Highland, NY, Ulster county. Owners knowledgeable AND courteous. Coffee & breakfast sandwiche & , lunch hero’s;. All the items U need instead of running to a major grocery store, especially in the snow & heat!

The brothers who run this shop are the nicest people I have ever met. They are kind, courteous, and down to earth. Double A grocery offers a good variety of essentials. Paper products, cleaning supplies, drinks and snacks, also a great smoke and vape product variety. They’re also open to the idea of ordering products you want that they don’t have if the option is available to them. Which I’ve found very helpful in the past. On top of the stock they have on the shelves these guys cook up some great food off their Deli menu. I recommend the wings. Overall.. Always love coming here. The food, selection, and conversation reminds me of the Bodegas I grew up going to on Long Island. Which makes this new guy in town feel at home every time. 😁
