I recently ordered 22 pounds of grass fed ground beef from Dierks Farms after stumbling upon an online promo. Having eaten it for the last two days, I feel compelled to sing their praises.

First, the ordering process was very simple. Their website walks you through the checkout very smoothly and I liked that I was able to pay with PayPal (they have an option to pay by credit card as well).

After I placed my order I got an email from Pam asking if I had any special notes or requests for my order. I told her I preferred my ground beef on the fatty side and she passed that info along to the processor for me!

The meat was shipped via FedEx in a very sturdy box lined with styrofoam and packed with dry ice. For 22 lbs of meat, I felt the $17.50 in shipping was extremely reasonable. All told I think my meat was in transit for a little over 24 hours and that dry ice kept it frozen rock solid the entire time. You do not have to worry about your meat going bad in transit, that's for sure!

The ground beef came in these nice little 1 pound chubs. I love thawing them out and cooking one up as a meal. It is extremely tasty beef.

I'm so pleased with the experience that I just emailed Pam and arranged to buy a quarter of a cow at the end of August. I can't wait to try out the steaks and roasts and get my hands on more ground beef and hopefully some nice grass fed fat trimmings.

To sum up: the website is great, the service is fantastic, Pam is an allstar, the meat is delicious. Dierks is fantastic outfit in my book and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for affordable grass fed beef.

Having never purchased beef outside of the local grocery store I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased a 1/2 side of grass fed beef from Dierks Farm. It's been 2 months since the Dierks family delivered the beef and we've cooked at least one cut of meat from the various cuts we chose. The quality of the beef is fantastic, from the roasts, steaks, and the hamburger everything tastes awesome. Knowing the benefits of eating grass fed beef gives me peace of mind that I'm feeding my family the best possible beef. As long as Dierks Family is selling grass fed beef, we will be buying from them every time!

I was so excited when I found out that Dierks Farm was only 20 minutes from my home! I had been searching for grass fed beef, not just grass fed but 100% grass fed. The Dierks family are a true family owned farm. They have been so polite and accommodating to me whenever I need to stock up. I have health problems and had read several articles that stated that grass fed beef and organic chicken helps heal the body because of not using antibiotics and feeding the animals without grains. I live in a rural area and never saw grass fed beef at my local grocery store.I kept searching and found Dierks Farm! I eat a lot of ground beef because its so versatile, but their roasts are wonderful also. They will deliver too! There is no comparison to commercial beef, so fresh and good.

Excellent quality! We receive tons of compliments on burgers/tacos/etc made with their ground beef. The flavor is definitely better than what we purchased at the grocery store in the past! We did the ground beef subscription, and picked up at the Tower Grove Park Farmers market.

I'm not able to review the meat just yet, haven't gotten it. My review is on the companies business practices. I stumbled across this place on Amazon, no reviews just yet but I thought I'd inquire and give dierks a shot. After getting the info from Pam on shipping and everything I went ahead and placed an order. I ordered on Friday, Pam told me my order would ship out Monday and I would have by Wednesday. That's standard from my experience. Pam said I would get a shipping notice and tracking number Monday. Well Monday came and went with no word about my shipment. I emailed Pam asking about my order on Tuesday. She informed me I wouldn't be getting my package til Thursday now. It's not that big a deal, the one day but when I questioned the delivery time, Pam decided to say maybe I should just tell her to lose my information, other loyal customers are satisfied. I found this baffling. My first order with them, I didn't receive my shipping information and the shipping time changed. But I'm not loyal... I would rethink that purchase if I were you. Pam doesn't seem like she wants the repeat business.
