Check-in is pretty simple and straightforward. They are nice and respectful folks. If dropping and hooking to a trailer, the nighttime yard dog does not leave room to raise the landing gear up. They should know better to do this. We should not have to drag it out or even find someone and wait however long for the yard guy to move a trailer. Please have someone who's competent to do a job knowing drivers have to raise or lower landing gears.

Mr Chris was fabulous. Being my first time here, Mr. Chris had educated me on how to get my preloaded trailer.

When you first come through the door, you should stop at the shipping door to pick up your scale paper, which is part of the process.

Then, take your truck over to the scale area. You received two large-scale open doors. The first one is for fertilizer type trucks. The second scale is for drive vans.

What you do is follow the information on the paperwork, which I should have taken a picture of again. My apologies. After you weighed your stairs, drives Etc what you do is you get out your truck, and there's a small doorway for the drivers to go into the scale office. To your right, there's a little piece of paper that you pick up, add you feed through the machine, and hit the red button to print your scale weight.

Then all you do is take that small paper and the bigger sheet with the measurements back to shipping, and then they will take it from there. I'm not sure how live loading works.

To be honest, I don't know why people fuss about the littlest things it was somewhat to me a lot of work, but it was done, and I was out. Just remember, guys, just be nice and ask questions and don't come in as bullies because I didn't see anything wrong with this scenario for this company. And plus the best part about it it was in the countryside which I love driving around.

I read a lot of the reviews and was worried, but I just had a different experience. The people are super nice. There were no negative attitudes here, and I didn't feel like they don't care about truckers. I did have to go into door 13 though! My load was drop and hook, but after I finally got scaled correctly, they said that I could not leave yet, that some of the product had an issue and they would have to take it off and reload me. Well, it took awhile for them to get it straightened out, but they did and I got out of there. I was on time for delivery.

If you've been to a Diamond Pet Food facility before, then you generally know the procedures. After entering gate, turn right and pull into scale house to weigh empty. Then park near Plant 2, Dock 4 (directly across from scale house.) After live loaded or pick of preloaded trailer, pull back onto the scales loaded and use the handy sheet they give you to get axle weights. Do not get your bills until you are satisfied with your weights! Only go in the office if you're satisfied or need a rework. Overnight parking allowed, though there is a truck stop on the north end of town. There's a dedicated driver's restroom in the shipping office and a porta potty by the scales. NOTE: They do not record the trailer and seal number on the actual bills, make sure to write those down on the BOL before you leave!

Yes, Dumas takes some time getting to. Get in line to scale first, scalehouse door #2 if picking up (tan building to the right, after gate) Then park, without getting blocked in, and then check in near dock #4. Wait for phone call to dock. Normal day, took less than hour. Go back and re-weigh, use helpful scale sheet to get your axle weight correct. Park again, go back to shipping office. Use the scale as many times as you want, no fee, before going back to shipping office.

Good place. My appointment was at 2pm checked in at 8:30am was loaded at 10am. There wasn't a lot of trucks. When I was leaving that's when it started to get busy

Just loaded tonight for the first time.I had a 10pm appt. Got in the dock at 11:00. Pulled out signed, sealed, ready to roll at 1:00. Very nice ,helpful personnel. Also, on-site overnight parking.

Do not pick up a load here. Was told Trailer was pre loaded and ready. Had to wait 6 hours for the trailer to be approved for release. Also have to weigh empty and loaded trailer. Avoid.
