Wow, what a farm and amazing owner (Rick). It made our day, and we are going to visit this farm every time we are at Palm Springs. Not only was the tour free but also so informational .

Along with learning about dates farming, we learnt how someone can be so humble, loving, and practical. Rick is an amazing personality and truly inspirational. His love for animals is deeply rooted in the whole farm.

We got big and small bags of dates, and we loved the taste and the freshness.

Just call him before you start so that he can be available. His tours are very in-depth, and he makes you feel super comfortable.

Our kids fed the dates to the horses (very very cute) as well :). Super fun.

The visit to Desert Mountain Dates made our trip. What a truly enchanting oasis Rick has built and grown. The work and commitment he has given his craft is admirable. We learned about the process to plant, tend, and harvest dates from Rick who is such a gracious host. We felt like cherished friends. The dates are over the top delicious. And those cute miniature horses. What a delight to see them and feed them. Such an enjoyable and educational visit. Don’t miss it! We’ll be back.

What a wonderful pit stop! Rick was an excellent host, he showed us the farm and told us interesting facts about the date trees and harvest. He was patient while we translated for our family. Dates are delicious and a great buy. Our dog had a great time too!

This place was amazing - the kids loved it. Rick was extremely informative, patient, good spirited, and great with the kids. We learned a ton and left with fantastic dates and pomegranates. There were horses and chickens. It’s not a commercial experience - but an independently run farm where the farmer gives the tours. I’ll come back again

What a fun personal tour with Rick at Desert Mountain Dates! He was super welcoming to us and made sure to show us all the sights of the ranch, including the miniature horses. We also learned a lot about all the work that goes into creating the perfect date.

We had a really great experience visiting Desert Mountain Date Farm. The owner is Rick and he is a very gracious host. We had a personal tour of the farm and learned so much about dates! Very interesting. There are 7 gorgeous miniature horses who contribute daily to the organic date farm. Did I say the dates are DELICIOUS 🤤
It was a different little side trip but worth it. Thank you Rick for the tour and for the yummy recipes.

AMAZING!!! Rick is the best!! Dates are delicious and Rick is so knowledgeable and funny and such a good time made our day and highly recommend. Wonderful experience visiting Rick’s date farm. Perfect timing for date harvesting season early October. We got to learn how the date tree grow and fruit over the year, and taste fresh sweet date right off the tree. Thanks to Rick for his great hospitality!
