We stopped in Dedrick’s to grab some snacks to have at the wine tasting room next room and everything was amazing!! The cheese was so creamy and delicious and everything was incredibly well priced. The person who helped check us out was super friendly and gave us a free cheese sample. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

We stumbled in here on a Saturday to find they had a complementary cheese, nut, and iced tea tasting! The cheese was so good!

We left with four pieces of cheese! My favorite was the whiskey maple gouda! OMG. I will going out of my way to come here often to restock on this cheese!

Amazing store. The broad selection of cheeses is impressive, you will cheeses from many varieties and these ones as well from different countries or finishings. The store offer more than cheese, there are desserts, chocolates, preservers, crackers and many other delicious products. The staff was very kind and helpful. She took the time to explain is more about each cheese that we had a question for. The Napolitano cheesecake was delicious. Is a must stop if you are in the area.

Highly recommend this place! I am grateful to have a nice cheese shop like this right at downtown placerville. Not going to lie, of course the price is somewhat higher than places like Whole Foods but it’s worth it as it’s not always I have the luxury to pick up my favorite cheese from Whole Foods before heading up placerville for a few days so this is a life saver when I need some good cheese!
The owner Mary was a Bay Area transplant to this area and was super nice made the experience patronizing here even better

Rotten overpriced cheese sold here?
The $9.22 price tag was conveniently placed right over the packed date. We bought this one on the 1st of August. No wonder it tasted so bad.

Great selection of all sorts of goodies: not just cheeses. Sort of like a local Trader Joe's. Very friendly, helpful staff; do you want to know about a hundred-plus varieties of cheese? Just ask.

I'd especially recommend the cookies-- they're marschmallow, chocolate chip, and oatmeal, I think. There's a ton of cool-looking tea cups and such, but they're sort of banished to the back; don't know if that stuff is for sale or not.

Amazing selection!!! Great service! Such a cool spot! Will always visit when we hit main Street. Can't say enough great things about this shop!!

January 2022 update:

Still a great selection but an older woman with grey hair checked us out today. We grabbed the crackers and goat cheese we love. We didn't see any petit Basque we always get there so we asked. The woman asked us if we wanted a whole block. We said no after she showed us the block. We asked for a 1/4. She pushed us to buy more 4 times and then commented on how small the piece was. It was so uncomfortable. I won't be back unless I walk by and don't see her in there . Pushy used car saleswoman of the cheese world.

Cheese!! They have every single type of cheese you could ever want in your whole life, raw and pasteurized options, goat, sheep, cow, whatever you want. Also, the bread they get delivered from local bakeries is reason enough to stop in here. They have olives and desserts and all the things you need to go with your cheese, and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Just tell them what kind of cheese you like and they will give you samples of something you will love, I promise.
