Daddy O's Smokehouse: A Must-Try BBQ Spot in Sacramento**

I've been lucky enough to try a lot of BBQ places in Sacramento, but Daddy O's Smokehouse is by far my favorite. I've been there at least five times, and each time the food has been better than the last. The ribs, tri tip, and brisket are the best I've ever had. The servings are huge, even for big eaters, and I always clean my plate. The greens and mac and cheese are also out of this world! I've brought several friends, coworkers, and family, and they all fell in love with this place. I highly recommend it!

I grabbed lunch during work the other day, and I'm sorry I haven't tried this spot sooner. The brisket is exceptional and I had to clean my plate entirely. I'm recommending this spot to all my friends.

Found a new home! meat falls off the ribs.. super tender.. tri- tip.. off the hook.. best bbq in the sacramento area.. will def be back! Excellent customer service.. family owned.. feels like home!

The Brisket and Mac has gotta be the best I've ever had, if i were blind it could've made me see. House sweet tea was amazing. Service was good, food was at our table un under 5 minutes. The ownership and staff ought to be proud.

Food is definitely a 10/10. You can tell they take their time with their food and smoke their meats to perfection.
Although the wait was very long (ordered online and still had to wait 45 mins after arrival) was definitely worth the wait. The line was almost out the door when I came there at the approx ETA so I know I'm not the only one who thinks it's worth the wait.

This place is dynamite!!!! The food melts in your mouth, and is perfect!!! I love the mom and pop feel!!!! Anytime im craving BBQ or Brisket im ordering here!!!!

Showed up at 5:45 pm on a Saturday. They said that they were getting ready to close because they had run out of most things.
However they still had Brisket and Ribs left and the only 2 sides they had were coleslaw and potato salad, which was fine! Ordered 1-2 meat plate and 1-1 meat plate, bottled water and a diet soda.
The total was $72 and change. Sat down and when they brought our food to the table they said that we couldn’t eat inside but we could eat in the parking lot.
Food was very disappointing, tough brisket, ribs were very tasteless and very little smoke flavor.
Scratch that one off of the list!

Response to owner: how should I hold a steak to show thickness? I’m holding it the way That shows the side which is how you determine thickness. As I said your other dishes have been good, but the ball dropped on the steak.

I’ve been here a couple of times using too good to go. This review does not reflect those moments. This time I’ve decided to order directly. I got the New York strip advertised as thick. Which it is not thick for 26.99. We ordered 4 bones for ribs and only got 3. And it took over an hour to get out good. Pretty under seasoned as well. I’m giving two stars because they do a lot of work in the community.

I should’ve known better than to get BBQ in California anyway
