The Cumbres & Toltec Train provided a beautiful experience from color- changing leaves to a variety of wildlife. I recommend spending time on the open- air trail car, too. It was wonderful, and I look forward to experiencing it again!

All reviews for the Cumbres-Toltec Scenic Ralroad are 100% correct, accurate, and "Let's Go Again" truthful! We booked the Deluxe car and could not have been happier with such personal service - a docent, assigned only to our car - and she made sure to point out every upcoming special historical site or geologic formation while waiting on us hand and foot. Lunch at Osier Station was extraordinary - such a great selection and so many staff workers looking after your every customer service needs. Don't ride coach when you can upgrade for a first class ride in luxury and service with a reservation in the Deluxe car. The Deluxe car has tables and allows a 360 degree look at all the amazing scenery. No arguments, just do it, and be blown away by the extraordinary personal service and attention to detail by all the staff from Station, to on board, to lunch and All Aboard time. Most highly recommended by my family! We will be riding again next year. 5 Thumbs Up for the Cumbres Toltec Historic Scenic Railway!

Easy to make reservations online. Easy and clear instructions for boarding. Clean train cars. Absolutely beautiful scenery entire route. Plentiful and delicious lunch in new and very clean facility. Wonderful day. Well worth the money.

This was a great ride! The scenery is spectacular, and so is the parlor car. We decided to get the most expensive seats and they were certainly worth it. Sitting in the last car you can get great shots of the engine as the train goes around a curve. And also get the behind the train shots off the back balcony. Our 2 hostesses, Fem and Kathy were well versed in all the scenery, history, and trains. You are served a lunch at the top, and they have it down to a science. The lunch was wonderful with many GF options! I would highly recommend this trip.

Outstanding experience and one of the only coal powered train rides that has tremendous high mountain views. Better views than Durango Silverton and others, but they are all good. Would highly recommend the Cumbres Toltec ride to Antonito with the bus ride back. I rode in the Parlor car and spent much time in the open car. Grateful to the Major Preservationists, like Dan Romero, that made this train possible and helped get it started.

We had a fantastic time on the Express. We saw lunch was included but we're thoroughly impressed with the large assortment of hot foods. 3+ salads, 4+ proteins, dessert options, etc. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The scenery was great. Traveled with a 2 & 4 year old and they loved it. It was just the right length with the healthy lunch stop. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful train ride! We spent most of our time in the open car as that's where the best views are. Wear a hat!! The top of your head will burn. There was a docent in the open car who kept us entertained and informed, he was great! Lunch was great, the pulled pork was the star in my opinion. Friendly attentive staff! Would love to ride in the fall to see the colors!

Couldn't believe there were seats available! Absolutely dreamy tour of rustic New Mexico and Colorado through forests of pine and aspen, and the buffet style lunch in Osier included tons of vegan, gluten free, and BBQ pork, chicken and cornbread. Bring cash to tip the lunch staff who provide top rate meal and customer service!
