Pictures are of what grew from the bag of seeds I purchased at Crosman. When I showed them the pictures I was asked how I spread the seed. They said the weeds must have grown from the soil.....I told them we had quality top soil delivered. NO customer service, basically my problem. I have purchased higher quality seed at big box store.

I've bought 100lb of town and country mix so far this season. I have a large lawn and needed a lot of seed to fix 2 French drain projects and an electrical ditch, plus fall overseeding. It's the best seed I've used. Nothing fancy, no stupid coatings or additives- just grass seed that's blended for our climate. It grows well and has no weeds. If you get weeds, that was from your topsoil.

Old school, no frills, warehouse type facilit. Easy in and out. No waiting. Be prepared to load materials yourself but I suspect they can assist if neefed and for large orders. Recommend products highly.

I will never return to this store again. As you leave, the door frame is plastered with political and misogynistic cartoons and memes clearly letting the world know how deplorable these people are. Gross.

Great place to get empty seed bags for pond projects .
When you dig a pond, fill the bags ¾ full and tie them off.
Stack and kick them around ( I call them landscaping legos ) to form waterfalls or borders around the pond. Use them to build up while you are digging down.

Established in 1838 and still going - that is something to boast about! As a customer it's cool that here in Monroe County we can "shop local" for our seeds: online, from various retailers, or drive there and buy them in person. An additional benefit is that since they completely own their property, their prices are excellent - $0.99 a packet!

Going to the business is a step into true retro, just like their seed packets. During seed season you can see people filling packets (some who might not readily find employment elsewhere, which is laudable), there are bags of specialty grass seed stacked about, and in the right corner are the racks of seeds. Just pick them out, whip out your preferred method of payment, and for a surprisingly small amount you are on your way to your garden. A delightful little secret that should be better known!
