My boyfriend had a blast at this place! He loves soaking up information, and there’s so much to discover here, lol. It’s super clean and welcoming, making it a great spot to hang out for a while. Cripple Creek really is a special place! The center has an amazing view from its window, and the parking lot is huge, so there’s plenty of space. Plus, there’s an elevator and stairs, so it’s accessible for everyone!

I enjoy that you can travel to many, many spots here in Colorado and they have free activities for family to partake in. This is one of those places. This three story facility has a breath taking views from every parking spot and every window in the center. They have information on mining in the area, how it influenced the area and the men that pioneered the area for resources found during mining as well as dinosaur bones that were found while working the rock quarries. You can see a miniature version of the town with a toy train as well as so economic of what was found while mining the area. I dislike the very obvious void in native history and colonizers effects on them and their lives during the documented time.

Nice place to stop and see some of the history of the area. We were really impressed with how nice the displays were and what a great view! They also have a penny crusher!

This is a really neat place. It has great information on the history of gold mining in the area. It is a unique building in a picturesque setting.

The center it's self is free to the public, donations are encouraged.
They were very welcoming and friendly. As for the center it is 3 floors of pretty awesome info about the town and history and animal demographic of the state. The drive alone is well worth it, if you have the chance drive up through Victor ,Colorado also which is a beautiful drive away.
