Cracked Crab - Pismo Beach, California

We have been going to cracked crab for years and the food is always delicious and service is great. We went on a Saturday at 4:30pm and we had a small wait. There is seating in front of the restaurant. We opted to walk from our hotel as parking can be a bit of a challenge around there.

We ordered the bucket for two and chose shrimp, snow crab and Alaskan king crab. Everything was delicious. My daughter got a grilled cheese on the kids menu and that was good as well. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had an amazing lunch here. The service is on point . A small restaurant that goes big on Quality and flavor. The server was very patient and answered all of my questions. It was the first time I got to try bairdi crab. It was as delicious as she promised. My husband had a Shrimp po Boy sandwich which was just as delicious And flavorful As my crab. Can't wait to come back and try this place again, Truly a jem Hidden in Pismo Beach.

ordered the single bucket & added the steamed clams, which was enough for 2. We went with the snow crab and shrimp for our 2 items, which came with potatoes, corn, and sausage. I'd rate it 7/10. I didn't have much flavor because it's a dry rub. The clams I'd give 9/10 they are prepared wonderfully with a tasty cream sauce, we used the sauce as a dipping sauce for our shrimp & potatoes. The bread is wonderful. I'd give it an 8.5/10.

We went here in Valentine’s Day. The wait was about 1.5 hours but once we got in our service was amazing. Our server was very attentive even for the busy night and was extremely personable. We had our 9 and 11 yr old boys with us and she made the experience great for them also by interacting with them and encouraging them to color on the table covering. We would definitely go back, I do feel the bucked for two could have been seasoned a little more but they give you extra seasoning on the table. Great experience

The Cracked Crab has the best food in town. I had the Maine Lobster tail, which was pricy but worth it. All the food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I would highly recommend it. The key lime pie was to die for 😃!

So good that we had dinner here two nights in a row! First night's dinner was the crab boil. Just enough Old Bay seasoning and not salty. We ordered the one person portion plus the steamed clams. The sauce that came with the clams should be sold separately... It was that good. Second night was their Ciopinno plus more steamed clams 😁 the staff helping us both nights were awesome and attentive. Great dining experience!

Staff is marvelous! We like the atmosphere here. This is my 4th visit. I bring friends and family with me each time I passes by the areas. It has become a must stop for me. We get to meet the manager, Jamie(or James), this time. He welcomed us and chat with us a little bit. My apologies that I cannot remember his name because we have a James with us.

So me and my group are locals. I think this place only stays open because the prices are pretty high, and the tourist scene. Somehow the dinner for two has significantly less than the singe buckets. It really was not that great of flavor , all the flavor came from the sausage, everything else was bland. We got one corn per person when the single buckets got 2 per person, we got less potatoes, shrimp, and clams. I got a bad clam which is bound to happen but disappointed that i what i mentioned something i did no get a suggestion for a replacement clam or anything. The server basically left for the whole time and we had to wait longer to leave because she was MIA. There was also no flavor , had to ask two different waiters what is in the middle of the sausage to find out its just a lot of fat and not even the sausage itself. cost us $113 for a bucket for two for less food than a normal bucket including one soda thats $5. All of us got mild food poisoning and we will not return. This place is disappointing for locals.
