Conejos River Anglers is THE fly shop for the Conejos River and area. They have great local guides that fish every day. They know the area and can get you trips on public or private water. I went fishing with their guide Bode this year. He is a great and passionate young fisherman that stays in touch with the patterns on the river. I can recommend him personally. The cabins are good for a great price. CRA is a really close drive to lots of public fishing water. They have everything you could need in the fly shop with great selections of flys and nice gear.

Can’t speak on cabins but the shop guy is pretty rude and foul mouthed. I went in to buy a hunting license and he starts cussing up a storm and complaining about having to do his job. I was gonna buy some gear but was pretty disgusted and irritated so i took my business else where. There’s a small mom and pop store a few miles to the west that were great, go there.

We have stayed at the cabins twice. They are clean and comfortable and have everything you need. The location is in the middle of nowhere, and it doesn’t get better than that! If you’re looking for a quiet get away to spend some time with nature, this is the spot!

Our last minute trip to the area had me scrambling to find a place to stay..memorial weekend mind you.
We rented cabin 4 which I found very accommodating and comfortable. This particular cabin has 4 twin beds in a large room, bathroom was roomy, enough hot water and plenty of towels for the 5 of us. Kitchen well stocked with basic essentials, cable TV, comfy living area. The property was beautiful and location close to town

My friend and I booked a 1/2 day guided trip today. We have never fly fished so didn’t know the first thing to do. Pat was so welcoming and helpful. He fitted both of us in waders and boots then helped some more experienced fishermen get set to go out. Our guide, Hunter, was very patient and attentive. We both learned how to cast, set the hook, reel-in, and hold the fish for a pic! Yes, we both caught fish and had the best time. I recommend Conejos River Anglers to everyone!

Booked a Guide to fish the Conejos 6/30/2021. We stopped into the fly shop to pay and find out where to meet the Guide. It was all set up that the Guide would meet us at our camp site at 8am. We waited around till noon, made several calls to the fly shop to see what was going on, they said he should be there any minute. The Guide never showed up. Even days later i could not get a straight answer from the fly shop to figured out what happened. It was a complete waste of time and lost a day of vacation. I will not recommend this fly shop or use them again.
