Nobody like having to go to a food pantry. This place made me feel welcome and the workers were so kind . Thank you for making My experience comfortable and making me feel at ease. . They serve lunch on Wednesday, while you wait for your groceries. They allow you pick what you want on Wednesdays. I recently lost days of work and now work part time . This place was A BLESSING , THANK YOU for your kindness in a hard time for so many. The food was delicious πŸ˜‹.

First of all, I would like to convey my love and respect. As the Common Pentry Family, we come and sit and sometimes observe. I admire the attention you show. The compassion, love, respect and service you show is a priceless service. The smiles you receive from people in return for this service make you happier, more determined, more independent and enable you to achieve more success. I would like to thank all the friends working there separately for the service you provide. I present my love and respect. We are very happy to come here. .I would like to thank the Common Pentry Family once more on behalf of all humanity.

They need to get a real social worker, the one they have don't help she will give an expired bus card to you and participated in a survey for a gift card to get an empty card. And when fixed can't go back for speaking my mind to fix matter.the boss had the nerve to call me a liar after they had money put on it .they are supposed to help and understand homeless people not lie to them.go for the food but do t go for any help , because Abby is worthless

This is the absolute best experience one can have while in need of help. It is a beautiful space with beautiful people running it and giving their time. It's efficiently run and tremendously well stocked. The whole process is available in English or Spanish. You will need a current and valid ID and a piece of "official" mail with your current address on it. You can go only once a month but they will provide groceries for the number of people in your family. They are kind and polite. I believe it's funded by the Greater Chicago Food Depository so it may have more resources available to it than smaller pantries.

While I don't like the situation I'm in where I have to rely on going to these, I can appreciate the kindness of everyone here and the volunteers. They are friendly, kind people and always give you plenty of food. While the line can go slow, they are quite helpful to your needs letting you pick from a list of different foods and you usually get quite a bit of the food you selected. I appreciate them greatly and they are a Godsend. Much recommended to anyone in dire straights.
