Entry fee was high, $15 compared the $10 for the Goshen fair in CT which is by far bigger, and $10 for the Harwinton fair in CT, and the Riverton, which is much smaller for free. The online ticket discount was a red herring, they charge u a convenience fee on top of the discount...head scratching. Food vendors we also pricey. We had the fortune to witness a calf being born (no extra fee for that 🙂 Enjoyed the craftsmen and women exhibits and of course the piglet races.

Somewhat smaller than the fairs of surrounding counties, but nice just the same. There are agricultural exhibitions, and recruiting demonstrations by the sheriff and firefighters. Many options for food and drink... but no ginger ale anywhere, oddly enough. The pavilions are capacious and well ventilated. In 2022 the Columbia County Libertarian Committee operated a booth here.

Always an amazing experience, this year we learned about blacksmithing and saw a variety of animals, went to the petting zoo, and ate some fair food. Bought strawberry lemonade and it definitely could have been a bit sweeter. No rides this year but we did enjoy some fair games. The quarter pushing game is my favorite. Unfortunately they only had 1 tent this year with them under it, however in the past they have always had at least 2 tents. I had a great time this year, lots of fun and cute animals!

What a wonderful end-of-summer experience! The sounds of cattle and sheep calling to one another! The fragrance of popcorn and cotton candy floating in the air! The mouthwatering taste of sausage and pepper sandwiches or powdered fried dough! Whirling around on the many rides or tossing a pingpong ball to win a goldfish! All your senses will be satisfied!!

Many exhibits concerning agriculture. Inside the pavilions are crafts and sundries, like home improvement and insurance. Since 2021 the Columbia County Libertarian Committee operates a stall at this fair.

A really amazing fair , We had a really great time and this is our 2nd time going! Can't wait to go back again next year !!!
