UPDATE: they keep trying to remove my review.I went a week without hearing a response. I finally went to the office and spoke with the manager. I was told they would be contacting me by the end of the day. I was told that if I removed my review it’s possible for me to get out of the lease. Then told, Due to “fair housing laws” that’s not possible. However if I apparently had spoken to them BEFORE posting the review, you know like the emails, and the visits to office, and the phone calls… I’d have more leverage? Yeah, this is where people live. Not a game. I asked out of my lease due to the incompetence and lack of care shown by management of this community that I no longer want to be a part of. If anyone wants to hear the full conversations, email me I have the recordings and you can hear the proof yourself. DONT MOVE HERE. Save your money for a community that genuinely cares and will be accountable.
I have lived in multiple apartments at this location. I have lived in various apartment complexes throughout the years in Madison and Huntsville. This by far takes the cake on being both the most expensive and most poorly managed location. I can only begin to state the horrible place this is to call home. Let’s start with the good, it’s conveniently located and it offers a pretty consistent commute to anywhere you work. Now the bad: the mail room. It is constantly overpacked with boxes and packages and if you’re lucky enough that your mail is actually in a locker great. But if you have to dig through the 40 or so packages just tossed about the floor, The mail room is rarely locked and propped open with the pad lock in locked position to prevent it from closing. There are two types of gates, the walk through gates and the drive through gates. For the drive through gates, the entrance gates stay propped open 24/7. Why? Well because the exit gates are unpredictable in their functionality and more often than not, they don’t work and you’re stuck backing up and having to drive out the entrance gate. The walk through gates are even worse. A storm hit in Feb. of 2022 and took out the power for some time in the entire area. After power was restored, the walk through gates did not work. The gates did not work for 3 or so weeks and when I reached out to them manager will, he told me they planned to “upgrade” the gates in the following week. Whelp, that never happened and in fact, the walk through gates did not function properly for literally a year. A YEAR! an entire year where you are paying a premium for a gated community and the gates did not work. They would lock. But no one’s keys worked and they couldn’t program them. And so people would prop the doors open because if you didn’t then you couldn’t get into the apartments unless you entered through the back. What a joke! And what’s worse is instead of taking the gates down or acknowledging it, management continuously informed me there was nothing they could do… what even is that? Alright, let’s talk about dog poop: poop everywhere, everyday, everytime, what’s worse? If you have a dog and you wanted to take them out to potty, you had until just recently 2 locations on the entire premises in the most inconvenient spots where poop stations were at. After continuous complaining and new management and constant turnover in front office, they finally installed two more poop stations, but they still are not the most convenient. Next is the tv/internet combo you legit couldnt get a single local channel during college football season because they were “working on it”. I requested a credit due to the lack of service. I was told nope. seriously, see the attached screenshots of the conversations the elevators are a concern. this complex has one elevator in each building, and while I can’t speak for every building in buildings 1000 and 3000, these elevators went months without proper inspection documentation posted in date. Furthermore, these elevators would go down randomly and for sometimes weeks at a time… with a handicapped person in my residence. Unacceptable.
