They have more than other Food Banks, that I've been to. They have different kinds of breads and desserts, and everyone is nice and helpful. A lot of Produce and dinner Entrees also. I realize they depend on stores such as Safeway and Costco for their food, so a big Thank you to them !

Nice local place to get some free food items for folks struggling to make ends meet. Items include bread, potatoes, peppers, apples, mushrooms and usually a few other vegetables. They usually also have some desserts such as cakes, muffins and cookies. You can go once a week and once a month they give out a box which usually includes additional items such as eggs, canned items and other items that are not available on a week to week basis.

I’ve came at 15-20 minutes before the website states that they should be closed and they have turned me away for staying that the time they close is at 13:45 rather than 14:00. The site states it closes at 14:00 so why are they turning people down to have them come back a different day when you show up by the posted time on the site?

They are very rude. I was trying to call them and find out if they were giving out food boxes for Christmas this year and after a week of leaving messages the old guy calls back and was telling me they aren't helping anyone and I didn't have a right to call them and leave messages and I should have just went in. I am disabled and can't get out much and was just trying to get help for my family. Then he said they weren't giving food out only toys so I was asking if they would help my daughter and he refused to answer (I did go yesterday and got a couple of things thru Salvation Army but they gave her 2 baby toys the same ones I just got rid of not that long ago because she is too big for them and they knew that she is 3). But anyways they were very rude to me last year too when I asked if they were giving out Thanksgiving dinners, the lady that answered was very rude, said they weren't giving out turkeys then hung up on me even though I called Safeway before I called them and the manager just got done telling me they gave just gave the food bank like 80 turkeys a half hour before I called. This year for Thanksgiving they told me they weren't going to help us because there is only 3 of us and we didn't deserve help. It's nice to know that they only help those who they choose and not the people that really need help. Thank god a church was nice enough to help us out at the last minute with Christmas dinner. I am sooooo freaking sick of people being rude, judging people they don't know, and not helping those who really need it. Ok rant over even though it's not going to do any good.
