I recently had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery, and it was absolutely incredible. The venue is breathtaking, from the elegant Amber Room to the picturesque courtyard that’s perfect for ceremonies. As a photographer, the lighting and design of the space made it so easy to capture truly beautiful moments.

What really stood out to me was how thoughtfully the venue is laid out for weddings. The Amber Room has such a romantic, dramatic vibe—it’s amazing for receptions and first dances. And during golden hour, the courtyard transforms into this magical backdrop that every couple dreams of for their photos.

The team at Casa Real was also fantastic. They were on top of everything and made sure the day flowed seamlessly. It’s clear they care about making sure couples (and vendors like me!) have a great experience.

If you’re considering Casa Real for your wedding, I can confidently say it’s a stunning choice. Even though I’ve only been there once, I can’t wait to return—it’s one of those venues that truly leaves an impression!

We thought Casa Real was simply the perfect venue size and feel for our anticipated guest count (330) but what we realize now is that Casa Real was the perfect venue for us!

We had our spring garden themed wedding April 2024 and it couldn't have been more perfect! We worked with Kelsea to plan all the details of our wedding and she was such a pleasure to work with and guide us through the entire wedding planning process.

We did outside catering with one of Casa Real's preferred vendors, Le's Kitchen, to have food our guests would be more familiar with. With Casa Real & Le's Kitchen combined, we continue to get compliments to this day about how beautiful the venue was, how great the food was, and just how fun the entire wedding day was!!

The team at Casa Real is so experienced with throwing any type of event at their venue, you can book them with full confidence that they will do everything in their power to make your wedding day one of the most memorable of your life! We felt the price we paid for included everything up front and had no issues with random up-charges like you hear about at other venues.

Definitely go and tour Casa real if you are on the fence! We continue to get questions about the venue from our guests who are in the process of planning their wedding and we cannot say enough good things about Casa Real to them.

I have photographed at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery many times, and I can never get over how amazing this venue is! They have a few different options for ceremony space and can accommodate both larger weddings and smaller weddings. As a photographer, this place has everything! Don't even get me started on portrait locations. Casa Real offers so many different backgrounds and location gems such as rows of vines, mountains, roses, greenery, architecture. The staff is amazing as well, and their coordinators make the whole day run so smoothly! If you are looking for a venue in the Livermore/Pleasanton region, this is the venue for you!

This review is so overdue but there are so much to say about how Casa Real and the team behind them are truly a well oiled machine.

Booking Casa Real as our wedding venue was the easiest thing we had to do during our wedding planning.

From setting up a Zoom call, to checking out the venue, to the food tasting, and being assigned a wedding coordinator, to the weeks out from the wedding, and day of- everything went as well as it could have been. It was truly the wedding of our dreams.

Casa Real is an outstanding venue, it had the feel of a European castle and that's exactly what we were looking for. Their food/drinks package is truly amazing. You get more than what you pay for. My guests raved about the delicious food, drinks, late snacks, and desserts.

We had great email exchange with Kara and Brittany (our wedding coordinator). Both of them were super communicative, patient, and transparent. It was so helpful that I didn't have to oversee as much.

Casa real exceeded all our expectations and even beyond! Im so glad that we chose Casa Real as the venue for our daughter’s 18th birthday last February 19, 2024. Their staff were very professional, kind and helpful from our initial inquiry, first meeting with Jenny, booking the venue, payments, food tasting, planning, and the day of the event. Kara was so amazing. She was the contact person after we have booked the venue from initial to final payments, schedule of food tasting and all our other inquiries. She never got tired of answering all our questions and making things happen for us. We could not asked for a better coordinator than Carly. She was simply the BEST! From planning up to the day of the event, she worked so hard to make that day the best birthday ever for our daughter. She coordinated not only with us but also with our different vendors. On the day of the event, she made sure they got all the details from centerpiece, table set up, seating plan, bows on each chair, display of our daughter’s awards and artworks that we have provided perfectly in place. She even provided snacks and drinks at the suite where me and my daughter had our make up done and changed into our gowns. Our 200 plus guests were also so amazed by how beautiful and big the venue was and the set-up. It would have been much nicer if it was not raining and probably during summer time when all the vines have all grown back again. Our guests were also so impressed with the food from the appetizers, salad to main entree as well as the service. The salad was so good, the herb crusted cod and NY steak was cooked perfectly. The open bar was superb. Our guests were raving about how efficient and good were all the bartenders. Their system of noting the guests seating arrangement, food choices and guests’ allergies were efficient and organized. Another thing I loved about them was that they allowed us to have my daughter’s favorite cake and desserts as well as Boba drinks from our own vendors. They also allowed us to provide our own bowls of instant ramen, spoons and chopsticks, as our after-party snacks which was another favorite of my daughter. My only regret was not extending the party time. Our guests were having so much fun they wish there was more time to dance and enjoy the after party snacks.

We have had the pleasure of photographing two weddings at Casa Real.
Not only is the space beautiful, but the staff are truly fantastic. HUGE SHOUTOUT to August. She goes above and beyond to make wedding days go smoothly. She adapts to all vendors requests and needs to ensure the couple is cared for. When one of the ceremonies was going to be delayed, she ensured golden hour portraits would be a priority following the ceremony since the sunset time can't change (duh). Not every venue's coordinator will do this, but August has!
Another thing to highlight about Casa Real is the size of the event space. Everything is in close proximity, so your guests won't get lost or feel like they don't know where to go - yet it feels spacious!
Also, the late night snack options they offer are DELICIOUS. Don't miss out on the horchata and churros bar if you have that as an option for your wedding day.

My husband and I chose to wed at Casa Real last spring 2023 and we couldn’t be more happier with our decision!

We toured many venues for our special day but chose casa real for its location, vineyard scenery, the size of the space which could comfortably fit our 200+ guests, the inclusive package (outdoor wedding ceremony space, catering, alcohol, waitstaff/bartenders, event set up, wedding planning, cake, signage, tables, chairs).

We also loved how seamless and professional working with the casa real team was! My husband is an event planner in the corporate world, so he had pretty high expectations going in but throughout the whole process, he was pleasantly impressed with every interaction we had with the team!

Kara was always great to work with and was quick to answer any questions we had when emailing/calling in! And Carly was absolutely fantastic as our wedding coordinator. Her flawless attention to detail, quick pace and calm was a dream to have on the big day! We are STILL receiving endless compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed our event last year and will definitely be recommending Carly as a coordinator for any of our friends/family that may choose casa real as their wedding venue in the future!
