To be honest, this place is horrible and sad to see that it’s being reopened. I attended back in 2013 and I was kicked out even though I was the one disrespected and bullied.

I dropped my son off yesterday and the directions was not accurate on the map! If you go up Nicholson drive by LSU the map will say hwy 74 we just kept straight but but you have to turn right and cross a rail road track. When you come Carville and sunshine just look for the signs it will be on the right then keep straight until you come to a stop then turn left and go all around that street 74 then it’s gonna turn into 75 so keep going until you get to the end we’re you will be facing the levy and a old red and white store the map will say turn left but you suppose to turn right and there’s no street name on there we were completely lost! But we did call the school and they stayed on the phone until we located the area! You can’t go threw the gate you have to leave the person there as you arrive we’re the security booth is. The facility looked very clean from the view!

Some girls attacked me during my first month there and its on video that I was reading my book and walking along when they came out of nowhere. They sent me home on suspension because they "needed to make an example out of me." I went home and never came back.

Some of the teachers here are wonderful people but the bullying is unchecked. This school needs to be under new management. I pray that this place doesn't give other job corps centers a bad name. Not at all the same.

I Went To Carville Job Corps Back In August 28.2007 I Didnt Get In My Trade Til January 2008 I Took Up Welding At The Baton Rouge College And The One In Port Allen Then I Went To ABC Summer Training Its Was Fun Though But The Hard Part About It I Was Finish With Some OF My College Core Curriculum Then Later On I Went Back To The Trade School In Alexandria La Finish The Rest Up My Trade I Got Done With My Trade In 11 Months To A Year From 2012-2013 I Walk With Class In 2014 At Central Louisiana Technical Community College In Alexandria La My First Hob Was At Union Tank Car Manufacturing Building Tanks Car Months Later I Got Laid OFF Its Been Really Hard To Find Welding Job Unless Im In The Right City Where The Work At

I finished Job corps in November of 2016...trust me alot had changed wen I first got there to the time i left ....a month before I left there was a huge fight like I'm talking every body and one guy had a lock and hit ppl with it and just got put on wing restitution ...plus there was also a guy giving tattoos and got arrested ?I'll never understand Job corps NEVER!! But in the finished my HBI trade and got my high school diploma so it's all good ... It taught me mostly all you have is your self.

Its ok be careful abo un t the people u trust and most staff is there to help u thow some are there to just get paid be careful bout husstlen you will gave everybidy at yo door and some snitches dont smoke unless u ready for a wright up
