The Sunday California Avenue Farmers' Market is definitely one of my favorite markets in the area. There are tons of organic veggies, fruits and nuts. There are delicious bakery stands like Craftsman & Wolves and The Midwife and the Baker.

This Sunday, I stopped at the FlipFresh spice stand. Chad is the owner and he was super knowledgeable and friendly. I got some ground sumac and I was blown away with how fresh it was. I sprinkled it on my quick lunch of hard boiled eggs, avocado, mushrooms, and radishes. The sumac added a bright, citrusy flavor to everything. I can’t wait to buy more spices next week.

A fantastic farmers market. Has a range of options. What I like the best is the cost feeling. Surrounded by shops on the street, and packed well on either side, the market stalls look great!!

I also saw a kitten adoption stall.

Food options are good too!

Recently moved to the area and needed a new market to scratch the Saratoga Farmers Market itch. We were at the Menlo Park Market earlier that Sunday morning, itch wasn’t scratched.

This market has many vendors, with prepared food vendors and trucks at the Eastern end of Cal Ave. There are also vendors set up in parking lots and on side streets.

Lots to explore, we will be back.

Amazing variety of awesome fruits, veggies, meats, honey and bees wax products, cheeses, tons of unique foods. Loved it! My only qualm was the attitude of several of the attendees. Aggression and lack of social awareness in many of the older people made it a bit weird. One guy even flipped me off because I was “in his way” at the open market.

Always a great place to grab a breakfast burrito. Flavorful, fairly priced and I enjoy the great service they provide. Note they provide seats and a clean place to enjoy your meals during the busy morning local market activity

We have gone every week, rain or shine, since we moved to CA. You simply cannot understate the quality of the produce. Once you taste the difference, you come back for the fresh veggies, fruit, and mushroom...

We also get our cider, pastry, fresh bread, dried fruit and nuts, and flowers for our balcony here, you can find many other things.

Sure, some of the dairy and meat is expensive and maybe not for every week, but good to have around!

I’ve visited the Mountain View Farmer’s market and the Sunnyvale Farmer’s market. Hands down, the Palo Alto Farmer’s market is by far the best (second best is Mountain View’s farmer’s market if you’re wondering). What I like about the Palo Alto one is the enormous variety of vendors; a mix of food vendors, produce vendors, and merchandise vendors. Definitely coming back again next Sunday!

Also, it’s right in front of our favorite Indian restaurant, Zareen’s!
