The last time I was here was in 7th grade after our first school dance. That was 24 years ago. This place is still a gem! The warm, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff (hostess, waiter and busser) and delicious food made the whole experience wonderful. I absolutely want to come back to try more of their coffee options. I had the avocado omlette and it was perfect as were the hashbrowns and pancakes. The drip coffee was good too. It wasn't busy (9am on a Thursday) so my food came out in less than 10 minutes and I was out the door by 9:30. I think my favorite part of this place is the atmosphere. Even though it's located on a super busy highway, once you're inside, it's like you're at home in peace.

This place used to be so much better, but went to hell at least 6 years ago. Figured to give them a try again, and see if they recovered their game. Sadly, they have not. Permanently on the do not dine list for me.

In response to the owner asking "What was the problem" ->
Well, we had previously been served ice cold matzo ball soup here, and had a dish (veal cutlet) that had both spoiled and fresh meat on it. That in itself is a neat trick! My ex had gone here within months of my bad visit, and gotten spoiled meat as well.
So, we put your restaurant on the don't dine list.

Years passed, and amazingly, your doors remained open. So, we gave it another try. We were a party of 3, and 2 of us had been there before and knew of the issues we experienced before, but did not tell the 3rd person who had never been there. We had our meals, and when we were done, we all relayed our thoughts on what we had gotten. Very happily, nothing was spoiled, or ice cold, but nothing was actually "good". The food was very unimpressive, and we all agreed that we would have had better quality, flavor, and value, if we had gone down the street to Burger King. I hope that helped answer your question.

I've eaten here before a few times and I love their pancakes. It's all I ever get here. Today I ordered food from them because I wasn't feeling well and shared that I was looking forward to the meal as I wasn't well and they left me a note with my food wishing me well. Great food, great service, great staff.

I had traveled from California & it was my first visit here. I received a warm welcome and got a table in no time.

I needed to get some work done, along with my morning coffee & breakfast. Ashley helped me out with my order. I just told her that I wanted their best medium strong black coffee, and she brought out the perfect one!
Next, I gave her my preferences for an omelette breakfast & she curated an appetizing meal for me, which I loved. Ashley had an amazing vibe and she made sure that I had a great experience.

As I write this, I'm already here for the 2nd time, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting/living in the area, as I'm sure the staff would take good care of you.

Cheers to morning coffees & breakfasts at this place!!

Wow portions were outstanding. We were greeted and sat right away.
The atmosphere is of an old school diner. I personally like it.
The place looks older but everything was clean. Definitely coming back.

Stumbled upon this place and it was amazing! From the food to the service! The inside is so beautifully decorated with so many beautiful plants 💘 I got the Rueben with the sweet potato fries and the lavender coffee. All of it was amazing and the server made sure to check on us and make sure we were taken care of! Definitely recommend trying the lavender coffee!

I made the mistake of trying Cafe Fourteen for dinner. Perhaps their breakfast is better.

The prices were expensive. There wasn't a dish for less than $15, even for simple pasta dishes. Adding chicken cost $6, and adding shrimp $10.

I ordered a burger, and the burger only had cheese. No mustard, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, onion. It was just a dense burger with a dry bun. When I asked for the toppings, they only brought lettuce and tomato. The sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious.

The service was slow when we asked for the check, and then after paying, the waitress did not return my credit card. She seemed confused when I asked for it. Then she gave me someone else's card. Upon informing her that it was not mine, she disappeared for several painful minutes. Finally I received my card back. I'm nervous it went to a different table for a while.

Overall, I was not impressed with the lackluster and outdated interior decorating, poor food quality, slow service, and high prices.

I would absolutely not go here again for dinner.
