I have been ordering sandwiches for the last 24 years at the butcher block . The meat and cheese are so flavorful and the bread is amazing. This is real food! I’ve ordered the
Cross rib roast for the past several years from the butcher block for Christmas and I have never been disappointed. It is absolutely delicious.

Have heard about this place, but today walking by the timing was perfect to stop in for lunch. The staff are friendly and engaging, the place is beautiful and “old school” butcher shop vibes, then there’s the sandwich…probably the best Italian I’ve ever had! The bread the meats the dressing everything was perfect, first bite was sold. Will be back for steaks next time too!

Ordered Turkey & Swiss with Mayo on Marbled Rye. I received turkey & Swiss with MUSTARD on marbled rye. I can’t eat mustard. Worse - two pieces of turkey folded over and two pieces of Swiss folded over for $11.50!!!
Didn’t come with chips or side. What a RIP OFF!
When I called Butcher Block to complain about mustard instead of mayo the guy on phone argued with me and said the orders are verified/repeated back to make sure correct. Yes. That’s true and the gal who took order read order back with “MAYO”. It was made incorrectly.
They did not offer to make a new sandwich or refund. Only - I was wrong and they were right. I’m not worried about &11.50 - it’s the bad attitude and lack of customer service.
If you want a great sandwich and well worth the money - go to Grateful Deli on Main. They will make it right and treat you right. I will NEVER return to Butcher Block for sandwiches.

Stopped in for lunch hoping to get a good pastrami on rye, didn't happen.... for $17 I got a depressing attempt at a pastrami on what they may claim is rye, and a small coleslaw that tasted like they put a bag of slaw mix and a jar of knockoff mayo and mixed it together. Both sandwich and coleslaw were a bland overpriced lunch that I will not repeat.

Went there and bought some meat. Quality was top notch and the meat was super tender. However when you get there you won't find any prices regarding any kind of meat. They weigh it for you and then surprise surprise. Super pricey. I think it would be better if the prices were displayed as everyone does not have the same budget.

To keep from having heart failure at checkout, ask what the price is before ordering! Two pork chops and a deli sandwich rang up to $47.30! Went to City Market and they had two pork chops of similar size for $8.
