If this is exactly what you are looking for, a country meal, along the highway, by a lake, basically a hole in the wall- look no further!
The food is pretty good and the prices are even better. This is a rustic, authentic, nobody knows about local, good grub place! Everyone is very friendly and nice and if you pay cash, you get a discount. It’s so authentic that their WiFi doesn’t work very well (haha).

Kind of out in the middle of nowhere amongst few other options, this was a great find here on Google Maps. Mega friendly waitress truly took care of us and couldn’t have made our visit any better. My buddy and I opted for the fish and chips special, though many other menu items sounded good. If you’re super hungry, be mindful that they have a cooler full of homemade pies!

Stopped at this gem by chance while traveling past, looking for a place to hide from the heat.

Butcher Hook Restaurant is my ideal of the classic home town dinner. Great selection, superb food, excellent value and awesome staff.

Amazing shakes! I still am not sure if it was ice cream, pudding or whipped cream, I can honestly say it's the best shake I've had in many years.

Definitely a highlight of the trip and will definitely make a point of returning if in the area again!

If you get out to Tonto Basin, be sure to stop at the Butcher Hook Restaurant. It's a quaint little place that seems to be packed to the gills with people. The reason is definitely the food and service! We stopped in for breakfast. I ordered 2 eggs, over easy, cornedbeef hash, home fries, and an English muffin. Nothing fancy, but those HOME FRIES!!!! They are a must with any dish!!! Husband got steak and eggs and a side of biscuits and gravy; grown kids got chicken fried steak, eggs, crispy bacon, biscuits, and gravy; my mom got the French toast, MIL got the sunrise sandwich (egg, cheese, and ham), and 4 yr old grandson got the pancakes and sausage. As you can see, we practically ordered half of what they offer for breakfast. The food was out before we could finish one cup of coffee and let me tell you, IT WAS HOT!!! Everything was made perfect to order, and we definitely did not leave hungry!! The service was spectacular, several passes for warming coffee, and making sure we had everything. Every plate was clean!!! We will definitely be back at a different time of day to try other items on their menu. This is now on our list of favorites while in the area.
Oh yeah, as per my usual, I have pictures. Unfortunately, they are the aftermath!! ? Seriously, try this place!!!

Love the food. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. The signage on the walls keeps you interested, even when you have to wait. Waitresses are sweet and on the ball.

This place was amazing! Food was excellent and the service was top notch! One of the best Ruben sandwiches I've had. One of those places where you don't know what you'll get...and then you are pleasantly surprised!!
We will be back!
