I'm a home brewer with a kegerator. Kegerators require a CO2 tank. Filling a CO2 tank is problematic because there are so few places that can do it in NY state. My interactions with Brown Carbonic were courteous, and my initial inquiry was given a prompt response. Things went downhill from there.

I dropped off my 5 lb. tank and was led to believe I could pick it up the next day. Call first just to be sure it's ready. It's a 30 mile / 40 minute drive for me. I gave them an extra day (2 days total), and called to make sure my tank was ready. I was told it was.

When I arrived, my tank was not ready. It had apparently been placed in the wrong location and was never filled. A woman told me she'd have to call and find out when the person who did the tank fills would be in, then walked off. I waited a few minutes, thinking she was going to return and tell me when that would be. I grew increasingly frustrated, so I walked onto the warehouse floor, retrieved my tank, and left.

That's the story. You can judge for yourself. It was definitely a bad first impression, and I doubt it happens all the time, but it certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. I went to Jerome Fire instead and was in and out in 5 minutes with a filled tank.

A local place to get dry ice. But I am pretty disappointed showed up and door was locked. I have been on Saturday before and online hours state until 12. If you are not open on Saturday anymore please update so people aren't making pointless trips.

We stopped here to pick up dry ice for a trip. They sell dry ice, co2 refills and regular ice all at the window with a waiting period for co2 refills. I got my ice quickly and at a great price they even helped get the block into my cooler. We will return when we need more.

Amazing customer service! I called to ask about ordering some dry ice and the man on the phone was super helpful and friendly. It was easy to walk up to their window and place an order for my ice, the woman at the window was so kind and sweet! She explained the options and prices to me and a few minutes later I walked out with my order. 🙂 I'll be back any time I need more dry ice.

Terrible communication skills!! Tried to rip me off - delivered 45 bags of small ice and invoiced me for 216...employee paid them and I called for months trying to get the refund...only agreed to a partial refund, wouldn't even return my calls, and then a truck shows up without notice to pick up the ice box that I paid a year's rent on and still waiting to get the refund for the overcharged ice and the ice that was in the box!! Calling my lawyer... DON'T RECOMMEND!!!

We had a family ice company deliver too our location for over ten years and had no reason to switch over to a different company as the service was excellent. That family business was then sold to a corporation out of Canada. The service just went down hill fast and calling someone to deliver was a task all on it's own. When we switched over to Brown Carbonics, it's been nothing but flawless. They know when you're low on ice as they use sonar to detect it. Since switching over we haven't ran out of ice once or even had the headache of monitoring the box to call them. Great Ice company!
