They are extremely picky on the cleanliness and the smell but it's food grade and they take pride in what they serve... but a trailer washout should be closer than 47 miles away everyone is super friendly

This place is great ! The one star is who your delivering to..Don't accept a load if your going to "Olam Edible Nuts " in Edenton ,NC..I was a Half hour late for the 14:00 cut off , and Lazy old man at the traffic window , threw my papers back at me and told me to come back tomorrow at 07:00...Doesn't care that I have to sit in my truck for 15 hours , 100 degree heat , no food , only warm water and no bathroom facilities..Guy was bothered that I interrupted him , by knocking on window, while he was busy researching political stuff on google...His computer screen was in straight view from check in window...Checked with the other drivers sitting here , and they have all been waiting 4 + hours for a door..I had heavy traffic in Atlanta , Columbia SC , and construction traffic 40% of the rest of drive...They obviously don't care about anyone but themselves

These guys and gals are fantastic. Procedure is to pull in and scale on the road between Dollar General and the facility, they take your total gross empty, and once loaded. Then go back out the way you came in, turn right onto main, then your immediate first left into a gravel lot.

They will inspect your trailer there. That was my only hiccup. They will blow your trailer out, but they will immediately reject you if you have ANY glass whatsoever, smell of spices (my issue from a previous load 2 weeks ago) or any other odors, fish, dairy. They are extremely strict with this, and they had 3 guys come out to me before coming to the consenus of rejecting me. If rejected you must go get a trailer washout, the closest being in Dothan, an hour away. The place I recommend is called Red Light Truck Wash. The guy there does a fantastic job and even put a diesel heater in my trailer to help dry it (I have a dry van).

After re- inspection you will back into the dock, plenty of room and they will block the road for you. Loading takes like 30 mins. Mine was 44k on the weight, but loaded good. Final call for loading is 15:55.

The girls in the scale house are fantastic, very friendly and happy to help you if they can. Would definitely pickup here again simply because even though they have strict policy, they treat you like a human being. Plus, overnight parking!

Very easy place to find and get into. You must go to the scale house which is next to the dollar store market I think it's called. Pull up on the scale and go see shipping. The facilities are right there too but you have to pull off the scales to use them. They will let you know where to go. If loading they check for glass they really do check for glass and not just shiny things like other places. They blow out your trailer for you. You can make it easier on them by cleaning out trash from your trailer before you get there. They are blowing out the trailer for you, the least you could do is remove your trash so they don't have to. After loading go back and scale and talk to shipping again. It's a great place to load peanuts. It's also not Brooks anymore, I forget the name.

This is no longer Brooks, but is owned now by Olam International. According to Olam via a 2016 press release this is the 6th largest peanut sheller in the US, and the largest in AL.
