We bought zoysia plugs here 2 years ago and more the next year. It has done great since we carefully followed the watering instructions. We are buying more today for our backyard since the front yard looks so nice! Really appreciate Brookmeade.

Uncommon experience in today's retail world

Driving up Brookmeade's driveway, you are greeted with an absolutely gorgeous panorama of rolling green hills and a cluster of modest, organized, and clean buildings at the center. If you are not at first met by one of their smiling, happy staff you will for sure meet the farm dog laying by the door of the office. This is without a doubt a family and friends outfit and you will quickly become one or the other.

Brookmeade boasts a knowledgeable, friendly, reassuring staff and everyone there goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable with your purchase. You will likely even meet face to face with one of the proprietors, who are down-to-earth and experienced in customer service.

I was far and away a small fish compared to their large customers but they made me feel like I was at the big table, even going as far as fulfilling a custom order outside of their normal business hours, more or less just to make my personal goal happen.

I am extremely impressed by the operation and hope that I have the opportunity to direct you, the reader of this review, to their outfit. You will not be disappointed.

I bought 2 bags of zoysia plugs a a few years ago every bit of it survived. and now looks great. Got another bag today and put it down, looking forward to see it fill in where it was installed. Not sure
what happened to RuBean. Maybe he waited too long to plant it or didn't water it or both.

Bought 3 bags of zoysia from Brookmeade and not even single plug survived. Wasted $120 plus 80 on fertiziler. I am doubting it if was even zoysia and it wasn't even plug, looked like someone ripped grass with their hands and stuffed them in the sack. DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE GUYS.

brookmeade is awesome. a little bit of a hike coming from rva but it's worth the ride. the farm is set on a picturesque back drop with grass as far as you can see.

i needed 300 square feet of zoysia strips so i called on thursday and the strips were ready to be picked up friday. you'll want to bring a truck of some sort because that stuff is messy, especially when you're picking up in the pouring rain.

so the purchase and pickup were super easy, but what really made the experience an A++ was the communication and instruction before and after - how to prep your yard, how to measure for how much sod you need, how to lay the sod and how to care for it year round. they even talked me out of buying more plugs in late summer/early fall because they're about to go dormant which speaks to me of honesty and integrity.

great job brookmeade, a world-class organization in small-town USA.
